Earlier today, British esports organization Fnatic officially announced the departure of mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda. After three years of tenure with the team in the LEC, Humanoid will now have to find a new home when the offseason comes around.
The announcement, which came through social media, saw the organization pay homage with a tribute video, highlighting his best moments during the last stint. Throughout the past three years, Humanoid was often one of the best-performing members within the team.
That being said, Humanoid was often met with criticism due to his poorer showings in crucial matches or moments of each season, which started compounding over time. Ultimately, fans started questioning the player’s consistency and the mid laner ended up being benched prior to the start of the LEC Summer Split, in favor of T1’s academy mid laner Poby.

With Humanoid officially becoming a free agent, the mid laner will be a hot name when the offseason kicks off later this year in November. Despite his poor form in recent times, Humanoid has often been one of the top mids in the league ever since the guy joined the LEC with Splyce in 2019 and later with MAD Lions, where he won two LEC titles in 2021.
His former teammate Iván “Razork” Martín publicly bid farewell to Marek: “Sadly, we couldn’t manage to win anything together, but I’m still very thankful for all these years playing with you and all the good memories we created together, wish you the best Marenkovich.”
Fnatic Founder and CEO Sam Matthews also publicly thanked the player: “Marek, you’ve been an incredible player from the very beginning. I know how much you tried, and how much you put into this organisation. I’m also super sad we didn’t manage to win with you, but I know how much you put in, every single day. Thank you for the absolute cinema, wins, and smiles. Once fnatic, always fnatic.”
