The rumor first emerged through 召唤师Park on Weibo, who shared a screenshot of an ongoing conversation between employees that stated that Bin “picked up his backpack and left” after a heated argument with one of BLG’s team managers.

While it’s unclear what the exact reasons are behind the argument, Bin is seemingly not going to take part in the upcoming matches, as BLG have announced the promotion of their academy top laner Wenbo to the starting roster. The rookie top laner will be making his debut against Top Esports on Friday, January 30.

The roster update comes at a key moment for BLG, who are fighting for the top spots in the LPL Split 1 regular season. After a strong start which saw them go 4-0, the team dropped back-to-back series with JDG, tying the score to 4-2.

At the time of writing, BLG have only confirmed Wenbo’s promotion and has yet to give an official update on Bin’s departure. Nonetheless, his absence from the main team will mark a major loss for the squad, considering his status as one of the best top laners in the league, especially this year with the increasing impact of top laners in competitive play.

Wenbo gets his tier-one shot

Wenbo is a new name in the esports scene, having only started his competitive career last season. The top laner joined BLG’s academy team in May 2025, competing in Rounds 1 and 2 of the LDL (Chinese second division), finishing in second place in both tournaments. He then competed in the Asia Masters 2025 and the Esports Championships Asia, but didn’t get to finish the season as Li ‘Keshi’ Qing-Hua played the coming months. The player has caught people’s attention as he shares the same name as Yu ‘JackeyLove’ Wen-Bo, the former 2018 world champion and current Top Esports ADC.
