Patches are one of the most important things when it comes to League of Legends. Throughout the last decade and a half, Riot Games has been constantly updating the game, shaking up the meta, and bringing several QoL (quality-of-life) changes to improve the gaming experience. And just like every season for the past years, the game developers are going to release a total of 24 patches. Here is the full LoL Patch schedule for 2026, according to the official patch schedule released by Riot.
In most cases, Riot releases the updates around mid-week, with patches being applied on late nights/early morning between Tuesday and Wednesday. In some instances, such as the start of the season, these updates are brought on Thursdays instead. Patches are usually released every two weeks, although there are some exceptions, such as at the end of June/early July for holidays in the U.S. and the winter break at the end of the year.
