Patch 25.24 is the final update of the 2025 season and the last chance for players to climb to their desired rank. With a couple of targeted buffs and nerfs to champions like Swain, Sejuani, and other junglers like Kha’Zix and Kayn, the meta hasn’t shifted much compared to the previous patch.
Despite the hotfix nerfs following his release, Zaahen remains the go-to top lane pick for Patch 25.24. His damage is still high and his sustain-based kit is perfect for the current skirmish-heavy meta. He’s really hard to punish during the laning phase, and he is also quite good with the splitpushing.

In the current state of the game, which is set to change quite drastically with the new season changes, you either want to play a great split pushing champion with carry potential or a teamfight-focused pick with great initiation. Malphite falls into the latter: he’s great into melee AD champions and he’s also quite easy to play and master. Fiora is a lot harder to master but also more rewarding for mechanical players: if you’re confident in your skills, this is a must-play pick.
We saw some important nerfs to some of the assassin junglers this patch, so there has been a new wave of skirmish-focused champions rising up the ranks. Among this category, Aatrox, Nidalee, and Sylas stand out.
Aatrox has had his jungle clear buffed and coupled with his sustain, he can easily outdamage the opponents in most fights. Nidalee is more of an aggressive option, which wants the player to consistently outfarm the enemy counterpart and potentially invade them to snowball the game.

Sylas is a great alternative to this playstyle and gets a lot of value if he has powerful ultimates to steal. Plus points for him since he can be flexed to the mid lane.
While Sylas is not the strongest mid laner, he’s still fairly strong in the right scenarios. The other recommended pick is LeBlanc: ever since her recent buffs to her damage, she has been the best mid lane champion to solo carry games, especially in the lower ends of the ranked ladder, where enemies are less likely to respect her lethals.

Miss Fortune is the Tier 0 pick among the ADCs. She is great for teamfights but also during the laning phase thanks to her poke. Kai’Sa is one of the best champions for Patch 25.24 when it comes to scaling but you will need to play around your weak early game well.

Even though Braum received nerfs a couple of months ago, he has been popping up again thanks to his passive, which can be easily proc’d by many champions across other roles. He is also one of the few champions who can help fend off aggression and counter the enemies’ movements. Thresh accomplishes a similar job, although he’s more reliant on his hooks and overall playmaking ability.
