Fortnitemares Twitch Drops Available Now

A new event has started in Fortnite, with all the extras you’d expect! We’ve got content in Battle Royale, but tons of free items you can unlock too. Like the Fortnitemares Twitch Drops.

There’s only a handful of new items available, but these Halloween themed cosmetics will mean that you’re all kitted out for the spooky takeover of the map. Twitch drops come pretty regularly in Fortnite. However, they are always time limited. Between these drops and the new Fortnitemares free skin that’s available, players can get a whole loadout right now. The Twitch drops don’t quite match that free skin! It has its own pickaxe and back bling. But with so many paid collabs, like Scooby Doo, Ghostface, and more, it’s great to get some free items too. New Fortnitemares Twitch Drops

New Fortnitemares Twitch Drops are here for the Halloween update. Epic’s been hosting these for pretty much every major update lately. Fortnitemares is no exception. There are two new items. A Back Bling and a Pickaxe. They roughly match, with a theme that ties into Halloween. If you want to get all the items you possibly can, this is how it all works:

• Treat Sack Back Bling – 30 Minutes
• Treat Axe Pickaxe – 1 Hour

Those are the two items. It’s one backbling, and a pickaxe. No free skin this time, but these two items will likely match a ton of different Halloween skins. The pickaxe is closer to a scythe, which they often use for free items at this time of year. The original Scythe is one of the most iconic Fortnite pickaxes, and this new one is pretty similar.

Then there’s the back bling based around trick or treating. It’s bright and would be a great fit for a ton of the Fortnite Halloween skins. It isn’t specifically designed to match any one outfit though. It’ll go well with Pumpkin skins, Halloween costumes, loads of different styles. How can you get all of these Fortnitemares Twitch drops though?

How to Get the Fortnitemares Twitch Drops

Just like any Twitch drops, getting these new items is really quite simple. All you need to do is watch the right Twitch channel during the promotional period. Which this time isn’t anything specific, but instead any channel that’s currently playing Fortnite.

Any stream that’s using the Fortnite category will work. These aren’t the type of Twitch drops which are limited to a subset of Fortnite streamers, just pick your favorite. To get everything, all you need to do is watch for a full hour. If you’re only interested in the Fortnitemares Twitch drops, there’s nothing that says you have to pay attention! Just leaving it running for a little bit and you’ll get the free items.

It’s not just opening up Twitch though. There is one other thing you need to do. Players have to make sure their accounts are linked. If you’ve ever done past Fortnite Twitch drops, this will be set up already. But if you haven’t it’s quite simple to get it all sorted out.

How to Link Your Fortnite and Twitch Accounts

If you want to unlock the Fortnitemares Twitch drops, you’ll need to hook your Twitch and Fortnite accounts up. Just like hooking Fortnite up to other platforms for free Fortnite skins in the past, it’s just logging in and clicking through some screens. It’s easy to do that, these are the steps:

• Go to the Epic Games website
• Sign in to your Fortnite account
• Go to Account settings
• Then Linked Accounts
• Find the Twitch option in Linked Accounts
• Click Link
• Go through the pop up to get your Twitch account connected
• Once through, you’ll be connected up

When Does the Offer Expire?

How long do you have to unlock everything? Players will get everything after watching for just an hour, but you only have three days. The promotion begins on October 9th, at 9 AM ET. But players only have until October 12th at 11:59 ET. So, it’s around three full days to unlock the Fortnitemares Twitch drops.
