Fortnite Falling Donuts and Homer Clones Coming Next

The next Fortnite update is going to take the Simpsons mini season to new ground. Since it launched, it’s been fun but a bit restrained. Next, we’re getting Fortnite Falling donuts and a Homer clone item! Two elements which will definitely spice up the loot pool.

The current mini season is following in the footsteps of Fortnite Remix and OG in being just a month long, having new content dropping every week. Although, at launch it did feel less like it’s new content every week, and more like they’ve held the full loot pool back. Over time we’ve had some new items added, and that’s accelerating this week. They’re adding Fortnite falling donuts and a Homer cloning item! They’ll definitely make the change from the normally restrained gameplay we’ve seen so far.

Both look like they’ll make the map complete chaos. We’re already seeing way more players surviving and getting grouped together than we used to. However, now they’ll be extra clones running around and giant donuts falling from the sky too. This is what you can expect in the next Fortnite update:

Next Fortnite Update

We’re expecting the next Fortnite update to arrive very soon and it’ll bring in a handful of new Simpsons items. This comes after the last weekend, where two other items were enabled. They’ve been underwhelming, underpowered, and extremely rare for some reason. But the next two items might be a bit more exciting.

Both look set to spice things up. We’re also expecting an unvault that’ll address one of the biggest problems with the Fortnite meta right now.

Fortnite Falling Donuts

The first of the items in the next update doesn’t have its name released yet, but it’ll be some form of Fortnite falling donuts. It’s an item which allows donuts to fall from the sky!

In the Fortnite Simpsons shorts that have been released, we’ve seen a form of it already. In this short, Homer uses the Zero Point remote that has been behind the entire season so far. To “improve Springfield”, he gets the idea to have donuts raining from the sky. From the looks of the game’s files, it’ll be a feature with offensive potential!

Players will likely be able to call in Fortnite falling donuts. Similarly, to the air strike or Krypto items we’ve seen in the past. Or they could just be falling at random throughout games for a couple of weeks. We’ve seen the donuts levelling entire buildings in the trailer. They’ve also been destructible, players knocking them around using items.

It seems the Fortnite falling donuts will be all over with the next update. However, we’ve had an early version of them. The Lard Lad Donut has been detachable all season, with players even using it to get kills. It seems there will be tons of these donuts soon.

Homer Cloning Item

Just like the Fortnite falling donuts, we’ve also seen the clones in the second part of the short. In this one, Homer tries to throw the magic remote into the nuclear reactor. Before falling in as well. The result is a multiplying homer.

This is also coming to Fortnite in a way! This second item is also expected in the next Fortnite update, but we know a bit less about it and how it’ll actually figure into gameplay. It could be some kind of decoy like item. Where you get a second version of yourself to distract players. This one hasn’t been shown in gameplay yet though.

Chainsaw Coming Back

It isn’t as much of a headline as the Fortnite falling donuts or even the homer clone item, but we’ve got one more item coming too. The trailer for the gameplay changes showcased the Chainsaw making a return to the game! This item was only vaulted at the end of Halloween, so it hasn’t been gone very long.

It will fix one of the bigger criticisms of the season’s meta though, mobility. On the other hand, it also adds a melee spam item to the game, just when we’d finally gotten a break from after years of one being a constant presence.

What Else is Coming This Season?

Those are the big items we’re expecting in the next Fortnite update, but the game is getting some other features too. One that’s always talked about are upcoming Fortnite skins. Leakers have a few ideas about skins which will be added to the files with that patch.

That’ll start with more Simpsons, like a Moe skin and Spider-Pig as a companion. But there will also be new Stranger Things skins, makes sense since that’s finally coming to a belated end soon, now its child cast are all middle-aged. We’re also expecting the next icon skin to get added in this time. As well as some other expansions. Like Krypto becoming a companion and not just an item.
