The social side of Fortnite has gotten a big expansion, with changes to proximity chat modes and a new community feature. Alongside FN updates for other modes, there’s a new mechanic coming for Delulu. Starting this weekend, players can become Fortnite Delulu ghosts. A way to stay in the game even after death.

Fortnite Delulu Gets Big Changes This Weekend

This new change to the game’s balance comes alongside some other refresh changes. Players can find a different set of weapons around the map. It’s also the first big launch of the mode for Fortnite Chapter 7, since we’d had the other modes like Reload and OG turned off for the first few days of the Chapter. They’ve only recently come back. This new Fortnite Delulu ghosts feature will make things even more social.

The Fortnite Delulu ghosts are a new addition, but the game mode has been around for a while now. It’s a smaller variation of Battle Royale. With the focus on social aspects. Players can talk to everyone else on the map with proximity chat. You can team up and there’s no limit to the number of players who can buddy up. It makes for a very different Battle Royale experience.

It’ll change quite a bit more with Fortnite Delulu ghosts. It’s a way for players to stay in the game even when they’re dead.

Fortnite Delulu Ghosts Explained

The big new feature for the mode’s return is Fortnite Delulu ghosts. These are cute little guys which you can find floating around the map. Players will turn into a ghost after they get eliminated! The look of the ghosts are very different to the spirits we’ve seen come back after death for past Fortnitemares events.

The Fortnite Dleulu ghosts are visible to other ghosts. You’ll be able to see them once you die yourself. You can then talk to other ghosts. Plus find items for players that are still alive. So, you can carry on helping people after you’ve died. Ghosts can also interact with players a little bit, or at least endorse them.

The Fortnite Delulu ghosts will be part of the game going forward. This mode has been quite experimental so far, with Epic changing things up a lot from month to month. For Chapter 7, there’s some other changes too.

Loot Changes

Along with the Fortnite Delulu Ghosts, there will be some loot pool changes for Delulu. Since it’s come back for Chapter 7, it’s getting a batch of new items which will be in line with what’s in the main game. Some of the best Fortnite weapons are coming over to Delulu.

This means Wingsuits, and Self-Revives. Although, the Self-Revive is proving a fairly pointless item outside of some specific circumstances. Wingsuits on the other hand will be a fun mobility tool. It’s also being played on the current Fortnite Chapter 7 map.

Fortnite Delulu in Chapter 7

With those changes, Fortnite Delulu is getting a bit more exciting for the current season. This mode’s future has always been a bit up in the air, with Epic confirming it’s staying in the game for a few months at a time. At the moment, we know it’s here past the end of the year. But the future is still a bit unclear.

Since the mode only runs for a limited time, and features fewer players, it’s not had the biggest impact on the player count of main modes. Which means it’s a lot more sustainable than other modes that have been added. Excitement for Delulu has faded since it was first added.

However, keeping things interesting with different loot pools week to week should help it stay fresh. The addition of Fortnite Delulu ghosts isn’t a huge game changer, but it will give a lot of players another reason to jump back in.
