The FNCS is the biggest esports event for Fortnite, the equivalent of the major circuit in other games, but is there an FNCS trophy? Most games of this size with such a prize pool and so many players competing have a physical trophy on offer for players. A prize for winning the whole thing, typically made for that moment where they lift it at the end and become the new champions.

FNCS Trophy – Is There a Physical Prize for Major Winners?

It gets a bit different with Fortnite though. There is an FNCS trophy! But it isn’t rolled out for every tournament. For example, there won’t be an FNCS trophy at the next Major. However, we will see a new Trio of players lifting it by the end of the year. These are the FNCS trophies we’ve seen over the years and when the next one will be awarded.

Is There an FNCS Trophy?

Yeah, there is an FNCS trophy! But it isn’t awarded on a season-to-season basis. We won’t see the trophy lifted at the end of the current major. Or any of the Majors. The trophy only really comes out for the LAN.

Since Blast took over the FNCS, we’ve had a proper structure to the events. We get Majors which are just online, and then a LAN at the end of the year. It’s the LAN that has the trophy. Otherwise, they’d be handing out loads of different trophies or each of the Fortnite regions, every season.

Global Championship Decides Who Lifts It

The next trophy will be our latest in quite a line. We’ve been seeing FNCS Majors play out all year as players lock into the LAN. Once we reach this global event, we’ll see a few days of the top players in one lobby. Where the winners will lift the new FNCS trophy.

This next trophy is going to be made for three different players to lift at once! So, we might see a trophy with a slightly moderated design, to make sure everyone can lift it at once without looking a little silly. The best Fortnite trio of the season gets that honor. But given that most of the past designs have followed the same theme, we can expect something similar.

FNCS Trophy In-Game

The FNCS Trophy as a physical item is perfectly fine, but you can’t lift it in Fortnite. In many ways, the FNCS pickaxe that gets awarded to winners is the equivalent of the trophy in-game. It’s an exclusive item that’s only available for winners of the Majors. But the trophy does show up too.

There are emotes in-game which let you lift trophies. From Bugha’s emote with the World Cup, to more recent FNCS trophy emotes. These are about as close as most players will get to lifting the trophy.

The FNCS Trophy Over the Years

Pro-Am

The Pro-Am event also had an FNCS trophy! Since this called the FNCS Pro-Am, it might technically be one of the trophies. This one was lighter colored and taller. Designed more like a trophy, and less like a traditional cup. This is one trophy that might have ended up in a unique place too. AussieAntics is technically the only Australian to ever win a LAN, and lift the trophy.

The most recent trophy we saw awarded was the 2024 FNCS trophy. This was for the Global Championship that was won by Peterbot and Pollo. The trophy itself had a very similar design to the year before.

2023 Trophy

The 2023 trophy evolved a little bit from the 2022. This one was gold colored. Although, it featured the same design to easily allow two players to lit it at once. Bearing the FNCS crest on the head.

2022

The FNCS trophy for 2022 was also made by Swarovski. A crystalized trophy which was awarded to the winning Duo at the end of 2022’s final LAN. This one featured the same blue FNCS logo we’d seen for the tournament in these Fortnite seasons. All three trophies have followed a similar design though.

2021 Grand Royale FNCS Trophy

One of the first big blowouts for the FNCS was the Grand Royale. In a lot of ways this event was a prototype for the years that followed. It closed up Season 2’s FNCS events, but wasn’t the same structure as we expect now.

This FNCS trophy wasn’t featured this time though. This event had to be played online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a regional event. Closer to our current FNCS Major Grand Finals than the LANs we get now, so no physical trophy was created.
