The FNCS Pro-Am stream is now back online! But, after a fun Game 4 earlier, we saw FNCS Pro-Am down on all platforms. With more than half an hour delay thanks to tech problems.

FNCS Pro-Am Down Mid-stream – What Happened?

The FNCS Pro-Am got off to a big start, after all the build-up, introductions for players, and then the games starting, but just a tiny part into it, we saw the FNCS Pro-Am down. The whole stream has gone offline. A bad tech error has derailed the tournament just as we’ve come back from an earlier half time. If your FNCS Pro-Am stream was down, it’s not a problem on your end! The tournament was down in-person too. Although, we’re now back online.

Looking through different streams of the event, we’ve been able to figure out a bit about what’s going on. Why was the FNCS Pro-Am down and what actually happened?

FNCS Pro-Am Down – Is it Coming Back?

We’ve seen the FNCS Pro-Am down mid-stream! In the start of game 4, we got a few minutes of teams farming Ali-A for free kills over and over again. A real highlight of the tournament so far, along with Clix’s crazy shockwave win, and NickEh30 getting kills in a lobby of only the pro side of the Pro-Am teams. However, the stream then just cut out.

The broadcast ended on YouTube and Twitch. So just what exactly happened?

It appears to have been a tech fault at the event. Even at the LAN, where those attending get the free pickaxe code, the stream went dead. Screens showing frozen screens. Players got up and just starting milling around. The floor has been cleared for some tech support to return. But it was a bit of a confusing few minutes. We still don’t know for certain what happened, but one explanation seems to be out there.

Why Did it Go Down?

Some people are currently suggesting the FNCS Pro-Am down time was from a DDOS attack, with a player exposing the IP address briefly. It’s possible. A lot of the attending players and content creators have their views on stream. However, this explanation isn’t fully confirmed just yet.

A lot of the information came from one in-person attendee streaming from the stands, Bucke. Who amassed a huge view count, as the only guy still broadcasting the Pro-Am stream!

For quite a while, everyone on the FNCS Pro-Am stream were in the dark. Since the floor was cleared it seemed like there is a tech issue. However, on the in-person broadcast we’ve got some idea of what’s happening.

The tech issue was resolved after about half an hour, but we won’t re-join game 4 where we left it. Instead, it seems we’ve re-running the third game entirely. From the beginning, once the FNCS Pro-Am stream is back up. Nice news for Ali-A. Not so great news for everyone who was racking up kill after kill on him.

Now with the game re-ran, we won’t be counting the points from the first version of the game. But the team mainly bullying Ali-A, Peeterbot and Aussie Antics, had a fantastic re-do game. Clutching the win, with even Aussie Antics getting in on it, piecing and eliminating Mongraal. We even saw Courage popping up, in a game that saw a lot of the streamers stepping up.

It might have taken a little while for the official stream to pop back up! In the meantime, Bucke on Twitch had been broadcasting his view from the stands. Announcements weren’t a whole lot clearer in the stadium, but there’s at least some programming going on to keep people entertained.

Now the games has resumed, we can have our final games. We can see which of the best teams will lift the trophy. After the re-ran Game 4, the top few teams are neck and neck with just a handful of points between them.
