Best Players to Watch at the FNCS Major 1 – My Selection

We’re about to begin the main event for Chapter 6 Season 1 of Fortnite, the first FNCS Major of 2025. There’s hundreds of teams in each region trying to get their slot, but only a handful can make it all the way. Out of the full world of Fortnite players trying their luck, which are the ones worth watching? The best FNCS Major 1 players?

With the change-over to Trios, established Duos and team formats are getting mixed up. How are things looking for the FNCS Major 1 players and which are the most-worthy of watching once it gets under way?

Top FNCS Major 1 Players to Watch

Heading into the tournament, there’s a good number of teams who have a strong chance. But, with format changes this year, there’s still a lot of unknowns. Anyone expecting a clean Peterbot wipe once again might end up seeing something a bit more interesting for Fortnite esports in Chapter 6.

Peterbot, Ritual, and Cold

After a world-beating run in 2024, all eyes are on Peterbot for the FNCS 2025. However, he’s broken with last year’s Duo partner which was so successful. While Peterbot fairly got a lot of acclaim from his World Champion run, it’s with a newer team this time around.

Joining him in the new trio place are Ritual and Col. Two fantastic players in their own right. Ritual won the recent Esports World Cup. Cold is also a multiple time FNCS winner, and everyone knows Peterbot’s achievements.

The trio has already gotten stuck into Chapter 6. They took first place in back-to-back weeks of the Divisional Cups that handled qualification. Beyond that, Peterbot has dominating in a few Cash Cups too. While the loot pool may have changed, Peterbot’s mechanics remain some of the best in the world. He’s definitely one of the most skilled FNCS Major 1 players. This might be enough to secure another big win for the fresh trio.

Rapid, Pollo Boltz

We’ve already covered Peterbot, far and away one of the standout players in Fortnite. However, Pollo’s new team is no slouch either. Pollo is the second half of the Duo that dominated Chapter 5, now paired with Rapid, Pollo, and Boltz for the new year.

In the trio format, they’ve already won competitions like Cash Cups. The newly teamed up FNCS Major 1 players have a lot of achievements between them. Since Peterbot was such a focus from the last Global Championship, Pollo isn’t coming in with the level of hype you’d expect for a World Champion. Once the tournament gets underway though, we might see why he has the skills to be such an important part of winning teams for the last few years.

Trippernn, Th0masHD, Fredoxie

This new trio is going to be a focus for players in Europe in Major 1. Th0masHD has a long and storied history in the game, even grabbing 2nd at last year’s Global Championship. Th0masHD is one of the best players, but also seems to be magnetic to that 2nd slot.

In huge competitions spanning the entire world of esports, 2nd isn’t exactly a bad result. However, each year its’s tempting to route for him to take the title. The player has shown remarkable consistency over the years, placing highly in a lot of Grand Finals, and taking 2nd or 3rd a lot of the time. It’s enough to make him one of the most consistent FNCS Major 1 players. Trippernn and Fredoxie might finally be the squad he needs to jump up to first.

Pixx, Darm, Demus

A trio that’s a more recent entry to these kinds of rundowns, we could see big things from Pixx Darm and Demus. They’re an outside shot, but some of the more interesting FNCS Major 1 players. Not the champions you’d expect to keep an eye out for, but after a strong result on the way to the finals they look promising.

The three players have had strong results in the Divisional Cups, including winning the second week. On top of that, they took high results in some performance evaluation cups.

The trio are all part of a single European team. Not the names you’d jump down running down FNCS winners. However, they seem to be on the rise. More of an outside chance here, but the trio have the potential to climb up the rankings this year.

Those are a few of the big trios to watch in the coming Major 1. Heading in, it looks like Peterbot and Pollo on their two separate trios might have the most eyes on them. Across all the regions though, there’s a lot of different FNCS Major 1 players you’ll need to keep an eye on.
