It’s a longer Fortnite season, which means players need all the quests they can get if they want to get through the pass. Right now, that means grinding out the Fortnite birthday quests. To get it done you’ll need to know how to throw birthday presents in Fortnite. Or even find these elusive items first.

How to Throw Birthday Presents in Fortnite

It’s once again Fortnite’s birthday! It’s a relatively restrained event this year though. We’ve got the standard unvaults like birthday cake and Fortnite birthday presents. But there isn’t anything extra going on this year. These Fortnite birthday quests are a great way to make a dent in that Battle Pass though. Right now, the birthday quests are the best ways to get an extra few levels other than Fortnite XP maps. It can be tricky to track down the birthday presents though.

Finding birthday presents can be a bit of an issue. Cake is simple enough to track down. It’s at every landing spot. But birthday presents have proved rarer. This is how you can track them down and throw birthday presents in Fortnite.

These can be tricky to find. They are technically legendary tier items, so they’re rarer. But you can track them down. These can drop from all loot containers, like chests, or the O.X.R Chests. The better chests make the odds a lot higher! Landing around these outposts you should be able to find a decent number of O.X.R Chests, which often contain a present.

Once you’ve picked up a present, throwing it is easy. You throw it the same way you fire a weapon. Once it’s thrown, inside you’ll find some high-level loot. Sometimes meds, sometimes the best Fortnite weapons. You’ll need to throw quite a few of them to get the birthday quest wrapped up.

Fortnite Birthday Quests

Every year we get some similar challenges in Battle Royale to celebrate the game’s birthday. It isn’t a milestone since the first Fortnite season. But it is since the game originally launched Battle Royale, in September 2017. It’s now Fortnite’s 8th birthday. Which means an eighth reward of cake for long-time players. To get all of the items, all you’ll need to complete quite a few quests. Most are fairly simple. These are the Fortnite birthday quests this month:

  • Wish the bus Driver a Happy Birthday – Just press the button in the intro to the game.
  • Search Containers Before Damaging a Single Player in a Match – Search 8 containers before dealing damage. Just land somewhere quiet, it’ll be do-able.
  • Dance by Birthday Cake at Names Locations – Each named POI has a birthday cake in it, head there and emote by it.

  • Throw Birthday Presents – Find and throw presents three times.
  • Ascend 80 Meters up with Balloons – Use Balloons to rise up on the map. You’ll need to use a couple or three to get this high. Just remember to save one or another item to break your fall.
  • Eat Slices of Birthday Cake – At those same birthday cake locations, you’ll find editable cake. Eat 8 sliced to get this quest done.

Those are all of the Fortnite Birthday Quests! The trickiest is probably throw birthday presents in Fortnite, since they’re tricky to find. What can you unlock though? These are the rewards up for grabs this year:

  • Spray
  • Anniversary Axe Pickaxe
  • Slurpfinity Cake Back Bling

In all, it’s worth a handful of levels doing the quests. To get all the rewards you just need to earn six account levels, which is covered by the Fortnite Birthday quests. Definitely a decent step up on the Battle Pass. It should help players get through to the Bonus Rewards before the Fortnite season ends and we move to a new map.

The birthday quests are only available for a handful of days though. It’s here until September 30th. After that, the rewards and the quests will expire!
