When you take a peek at the participants for the upcoming million-dollar PGL Wallachia Season 3 tournament, a particular team’s name might have you wondering who they are. Mosquito Clan is a promising Dota 2 team that will represent South America at the event, but who exactly are they?
Though Mosquito Clan might sound like a random FACEIT stack you’d name to play in the Open Qualifiers, this team consists of some pretty notable names from the South American region.
Mosquito Clan features a full lineup of Peruvian players. They are entering PGL Wallachia Season 3 with the following roster:
This group of guys is exactly made up of “nobodies”. Mosquito Clan consists of a mix of players who represented beastcoast and BOOM Esports throughout the past season.
Among them, Matthew is easily the most well-known component of the team known for his time under Thunder Awaken, Evil Geniuses, and Nigma Galaxy. The 26-year-old acts as the team’s leader from the position four role. Having made deep runs in international events including 5th – 6th at The International 2022 and 4th at the ESL One Berlin Major in 2023, Matthew’s wealth of experience looks to steer the ship into the right direction for Mosquito Clan.
Payk is said to be South America’s next-generation carry. At only 19 years old, he has already made several international LAN appearances under the beastcoast banner.

I’ve watched payk for a little bit and think he has exceptional mechanics, though he’s a little lacking in decision-making, likely due to a lack of experience. He is currently 51st in the European leaderboards, showing that he certainly has the individual talent to compete with the best carries in the world.
Three out of five members represented Team Waska for DreamLeague Season 24 last year, where they placed second in their Group Stage after taking maps off Tundra Esports, Team Falcons, and Team Spirit.
Due to the lack of an esports ecosystem in the South American region, the roster was dropped by sponsors and rebranded to “Looking For Org”, also switching out two players in the process. They have now changed their team name to Mosquito Clan for PGL Wallachia Season 3.
Aside from Heroic, Mosquito Clan is easily one of the best teams in their region. They have not only qualified for PGL Wallachia Season 3, but also Season 4 after taking down teams such as M80 and Estar Backs through closed qualification.
Due to the lack of competition in North and South America, many tournament organizers are merging the two regions into the “Americas,” meaning Mosquito Clan also had to compete against teams such as Wildcard Gaming.
With a mix of experienced veterans and promising young talent, Mosquito Clan is a team to watch as they enter PGL Wallachia Season 3 with high expectations. We’ll see them in action starting from March 8.
