#1 Tundra Esports

In my opinion, Tundra Esports is by far the best team in the world right now, and their recent results simply back it up. You have a star player in every role, and they’ve built enough chemistry to become a powerhouse. Though they fell short in the DreamLeague Season 25 Grand Final, they are still the clear favorites coming into Wallachia.

#2 Team Falcons

Team Falcons tails right behind Tundra Esports. They’ve never failed to disappoint on LAN, and you can count on them to always make a deep run in any event. They didn’t perform too well in DreamLeague Season 25 as they are facing a stand-in situation, but they’ll arrive in Romania with full force.

#3 Team Spirit

Team Spirit hasn’t looked like the Team Spirit that won two TI titles since the start of the year, but that’s only because Raddan and Collapse were shaking off the rust. They have already have one win under their belts from DreamLeague Season 25 this year and there could well be more to come.

I haven’t been too convinced with their early game, but seeing their team fight execution and comeback potential gives me high hopes for this extremely experienced roster.

#4 Team Liquid

Team Liquid is having a hard time integrating SabeRLiGhT into the team, but they are still the previous TI winners. This group of hungry players always performs better in a LAN setting, and that’s exactly what PGL Wallachia Season 3 offers. With PARIVISION and the BetBoom Team absent, I believe fourth is a good ranking to place Team Liquid.

#5 Heroic

I really think people aren’t giving Heroic enough credit. Though they were only limited to one Best of 3 series win at DreamLeague Season 25, they are an extremely tough team to beat. The South Americans put gave the top teams in the world a run for their money, and I believe Wallachia will be their first big break with Wisper back on the team.

#6 Gaimin Gladiators

The Gladiators are pretty iffy right now. They recently announced the departure of their long-time captain Seleri and though they haven’t been playing too well, you can never count them out. I’ll be keeping a close eye on Quinn. If he doesn’t perform, the team is just going to collapse.

#7 Nigma Galaxy

Nigma Galaxy has been on a steady rise, but I don’t think they’re quite there yet. The boys from MENA will likely put up a decent showing, but I’m not sure about them making it too deep into Wallachia. Still, I would love to be proven wrong, as I’m definitely rooting for them.

#8 Aurora

The Aurora organization had just announced its new star-studded Eastern European roster featuring prominent names such as Nightfall, Mira, and TORONTOTOKYO. Though they boast a scary roster on paper, I don’t think they’ll have developed enough chemistry yet for a campaign one week after the team’s formation.

#9 Xtreme Gaming

The Xtreme Gaming organization recently announced the abolishment of their roster to run it back a second time with the old roster featuring Ame, XinQ, and Xxs. Though this iteration of Xtreme Gaming has always been a fierce competitor, XinQ and Xxs are just coming off their extended breaks from competitive Dota 2, so we shouldn’t expect too much from them at PGL Wallachia Season 3.

#10 Team Tidebound

Team Tidebound is a new Chinese composition featuring an LGD Gaming reunion. You have household names such as Faith_bian, NothingToSay, and y`, accompanied by the new generation of players shiro and planet. This is an excellent roster on paper, but as much as I love them, they might be “washed up”. PGL Wallachia will be their first event as a team, so I’m excited to see what they can show.

#11 AVULUS

I’ve had high hopes for the AVULUS stack for months now, but I’ve only been met with utter disappointment. This Western European stack has been putting up upsetting performances throughout their past events, but I still think they aren’t too bad. Hopefully, they’ll give me a reason to cheer them on at Wallachia.

#12 Natus Vincere

NAVI’s roster boasts a few notable names, such as Shad and BOOM, but they haven’t done much damage. They were struggling to beat their academy team, NAVI Junior, in several online qualifiers. No disrespect to NAVI Junior, but the teams in Wallachia aren’t any easier for NAVI.

#13 OG

Sigh… I’ve been an OG fan since I started Dota, but this roster just isn’t it. They looked horrendous in qualifiers, and I don’t think they’ll improve much for Wallachia. As much as I hate to say it, I’m calling a Group Stage exit for OG.

#14 Mosquito Clan

You’re probably wondering who Mosquito Clan are, and I don’t blame you. This team played under the “Looking For Org” tag for the South American qualifiers, and consists of a mix of former beastcoast and BOOM Esports players. They’re not too bad, but being unsponsored should give you an idea of what to expect.

#15 Wildcard

Wildcard, formerly Apex Genesis, took down Shopify Rebellion in the North American qualifier to book their spot in this event. The majority of the roster consists of inexperienced players, so I have minimal expectations for this team. They love cheesing the lanes with Huskar and Broodmother picks but often get lost in the mid-game.

#16 Yellow Submarine

Finally, we have a pretty random Russian stack donning the Yellow Submarine name that qualified for the event through Eastern Europe. This isn’t the Team Spirit Academy team that Satanic and rue played in. Honestly, I have no clue what to expect, but I’ll be surprised if they don’t exit the tournament in last place.
