Western European organization Tundra Esports has announced on its official Twitter page that former OG player bzm will join the team’s ranks starting January 1. Bzm is set to replace Lorenof in the mid-lane after the latter was released on December 12.

Tundra Esports Start The New Year With Bzm

According to an interview with 33 published by Escorenews, the Tundra Esports captain expressed a keen interest in recruiting bzm from the very start. The two-time TI winner clarified that bzm possessed a playstyle that piqued his interest.

Despite 33’s strong interest, the move initially didn’t happen due to unresolved contractual issues. These complications forced Tundra Esports to temporarily bring in Lorenof as an alternative. However, the team ultimately succeeded in securing the prospect for the mid-lane role.

The newly minted Tundra Esports roster features the following five:

  • Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
  • Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
  • Neta “33” Shapira
  • Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
  • Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon

19-year-old bzm started his career playing for Creepwave, where he played alongside the likes of Crystallis and ATF. Due to his brimming potential, OG Esports was the first organization to make the move on the Bulgarian, signing him at 16.

During his tenure repping the dark-blue jersey, bzm helped the squad win the ESL One Stockholm Major and ESL One Malaysia in 2022. However, due to lackluster performances from the OG squad, bzm took the hit when he was made inactive in September 2024.

With 33 successfully assembling his ideal roster, Tundra Esports is poised for a bright future in the 2025 season. Now that he has secured all his chess pieces, the focus shifts to how this new squad will perform on Dota 2’s biggest stage.

I personally have extremely high expectations for the revamped Tundra lineup, and it is certainly generating a lot of buzz in the Dota 2 community. We’ve all seen what 33 is capable of, captaining Team Liquid to win The International, and now that he has gotten every teammate he was seeking, I believe Tundra Esports has all the resources to become a team that wins multiple championships next year and reach new heights.
