Now this is what I like to see: PARIVISION keeping their Dota 2 band together after such a huge amount of success in such a short amount of time. The Serbia-based organization announced their retention of the squad via a post on their official X account today, saying they “confirm [their] commitment to the chosen course”.

PARIVISION stick together and retain Satanic for upcoming Dota season

PARIVISION took the professional scene by storm in the 2024-2025 season, putting together an all-CIS roster in the aftermath of The International 2024 (TI13). They went on to win ESL One Bangkok just three months into their formation as their first LAN victory, cementing themselves as a serious contender for the rest of the year.

Like changing item builds

As the year turned, they dismissed carry player Remco “Crystallis” Arets in a rather surprising move, in order to bring in young gun Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov to replace him in the same role. While initially a move that I questioned given that they won ESL One Bangkok with Crystallis, it turned out to be a massive upgrade in that regard. Satanic proved himself as the best carry in the world during the season, routinely showing mechanical skill and game sense well beyond his years.

This roster then went on to dominate the rest of the season, placing first at ESL One Raleigh and DreamLeague Season 26. They also finished third at the Esports World Cup as well as TI14, the latter of which leads us to where they are now. Evidently, the organization has faith in this lineup, and thus they will be staying together for the next campaign.

Satanic’s contract situation had actually been up in the air prior to the announcement today, since he was on loan from Team Spirit for majority of the season. This confirms that he will indeed be a part of PARIVISION’s long term plans, and will continue to cut his teeth as a Dota 2 prodigy with them for the foreseeable future.

Meteoric rise

The way this team built chemistry almost instantly should be studied by any esports organization that wants to get into Dota 2. According to Andrew “Jenkins” Jenkins at ESL One Bangkok, this group was formed as a result of a discussion between offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin and coach Filipe “Astini” Ribeiro at Riyadh Masters 2024 — which means that this roster really was meant to be put together like this. Minus Crystallis, apparently, but like I said, adding Satanic only served to bring out this squad’s final form.

The vision, therefore, was clearly there, and it worked to perfection — faster than most people including myself might have even anticipated. Placing third at The International after spending only a year together and winning a few major tournaments in between is unprecedented for such a new team, especially one that in the beginning didn’t really have the kind of star power that a squad like Team Falcons did when they first formed in 2023.

But obviously, these guys didn’t let their “lesser” name recall, if you will, faze them heading into the competitive scene. They might have even used that as motivation, to be honest. DM and Astini’s gamble paid off big time, and now they’re firmly one of the best teams in the world with plenty of potential still to be fulfilled.

We’ll be seeing them next at BLAST Slam 4 in Singapore, starting on October 14th.
