Na’Vi Sign RAMZES for Second DPC Season

Michael Hassall

Natus Vincere has announced the signing of Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev. The news was revealed late Sunday night, April 4th, with a post on Na’Vi’s social media and accompanying blog post.

RAMZES to Na'Vi

Na'Vi looks to bounce back after pulling out of the Major by signing RAMZES

The news comes a few weeks after Na’Vi pulled out of the Singapore Major due to a series of positive coronavirus tests. RAMZES was slated to stand in for the team and even traveled to Singapore in preparation for the event. However, subsequently, Na’Vi would pull out of the event completely.

Stand-in to Full-timer

It’s clear RAMZES’ dedication to drop everything and fly out just to stand in for a tournament impressed Na’Vi. The carry player has long been one of the most talented players from the CIS region. However, his stint with EG had taken him out of the scene. Now he returns to one of the CIS’s most decorated and high-profile teams.

RAMZES will replace Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini, meaning a change in role for RAMZES, and shock for GeneRaL. The bad news just keeps coming for the Ukrainian offlaner, who missed the Singapore Major along with the rest of his team. A safety measure taken after the squad came into contact with stand-in Andrey “Mag” Chipenko, who tested positive for COVID-19.

In their official announcement, Na’Vi thanked GeneRaL and welcomed RAMZES: “The NAVI Dota 2 team will start the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 season with a slightly different roster. Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev will replace Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini in the offlane position. We would like to thank Viktor for his effort and contribution to NAVI and wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Na’Vi is next in action as part of the second season of ESL One DPC CIS 2021. The event will begin on April 13th, continuing until May 23rd. Na’Vi and RAMZES will face eight other hopefuls for a shot at Upper Bracket success.
