After surprisingly departing from Nigma Galaxy, carry player Daniel “Ghost” Chan was spotted standing in for Myth Avenue Gaming for the $100,000 Asia Pacific Predator League 2025. Ghost competed alongside his twin brother and went on to win the entire event.

Who is Ghost’s Twin Brother?

Many people don’t know that Ghost has a twin brother, and that they’re both professional Dota 2 players. The other half in question goes by the name LonelyChucky, who is sitting ranked #167 on the Southeast Asian leaderboards. According to Liquipedia, the two had already competed in smaller-scale tournaments as early as high school.

While Ghost was playing for top-tier teams like Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming, and Royal Never Give Up, his brother didn’t have the same luck. Chucky was mostly stuck in regional competition, playing for various Malaysian stacks in B-Tier tournaments.

Historically, Chucky was seen playing as a core, hovering over the Safe Lane and Off Lane roles.

Most recently, Chucky landed a spot on Myth Avenue Gaming, a Malaysian organization that had previously competed in Division II of the Dota Pro Circuit in 2023. The team was invited to play in the $100,000 Asia Pacific Predator League LAN tournament held in India but were unable to field a full roster, and Chucky asked Ghost to stand in for the team.

The twins took on REKONIX in the Upper Bracket Final, where they were able to clinch the series 2-1. Ghost played a pivotal role in pushing the team to the Grand Final with strong performances, going 8/2/6 on Shadow Fiend and 12/1/18 on Abaddon in the second and third games.

The two teams met again in the Grand Final, with REKONIX taking the first game. Despite Myth Avenue Gaming having their backs against the wall, the Malaysian squad completed the reverse sweep to win the tournament as heavy underdogs. With this victory, Ghost and company took home $65,000.

What’s Next for Ghost?

This event was the first time we caught a glimpse of Ghost since his monumental run at The International 2025, and it’s clear he’s still in good shape. He was carrying the team in almost every game at the event. But, even though this was a nice victory, it’s likely we won’t see him continue under Myth Avenue Gaming.

He was only playing as a stand-in, and to be frank, the competition in the Acer Pacific Predator League wasn’t too fierce – the top SEA teams such as OG, Nemesis, and Execration weren’t in attendance. We’ll likely see Ghost getting picked up by an international team, but seeing him lift a trophy with his lifelong counterpart was definitely refreshing.
