iLTW is Team Nigma’s New Starting Carry

After the surprise benching of Aliwi “w33” Omar just a few days ago, Team Nigma have unveiled Igor “iLTW” Filatov as their new carry. The news was revealed on the afternoon of Saturday, April 10th, across Nigma’s social media.

Team Nigma has revealed iLTW as their new starting carry for the upcoming DPC league

iLTW, a Russian Carry player with an impressive resume, previously played for Virtus.Pro, Team Spirit, and OG.

iLTW was most recently the starting carry for Live to Win. However, he was replaced by Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov in January. That roster was subsequently signed by AS Monaco Gambit to compete in the CIS DPC League. iLTW has not been part of a major roster since that point.

The signing ensures up the lineup of Team Nigma, who has looked shaky in recent appearances. After narrowly reaching the Singapore Major, the team found themselves eliminated with the worst record in the tournament. Subsequently, the team benched starting carry W33.

However, the signing will come as a surprise to some OG fans. Nigma’s rivals had played with iLTW in 2019 and in online events during 2020. While ultimately OG opted to return Anathan “ana” Pham as their starting carry, their time with iLTW had some positive moments. With OG currently searching for a new carry, many put iLTW at the top of the list of replacements. Now that prediction will not come to pass.

Both OG and Team Nigma will compete in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 15 DPC EU Upper Division. The last chance to grab crucial DPC points and secure a spot at the final Major of the year, the League is make and break for both teams. But with less than three days until the start of the season, only Team Nigma has a fully announced team roster.

Catch both teams in action on DreamHack’s official Dota 2 Twitch channel.
