BetBoom Team have returned to the top of the podium once more in the current competitive Dota 2 season, this time by taking first place in the FISSURE Universe Ep.4 grand finals in highly convincing fashion. Dropping only a single map on their way to the end of the bracket, they have proven once again that they are one of the strongest teams in the world right now.

Their victims? Gaimin Gladiators, who were very keen on giving themselves a break this season by finally winning a tournament. But alas, they simply did not show up when it mattered most, and have to settle for second place for what seems like the 13th or 14th time in the history of the organization.
Game 1: Pure Goes Ballistic as Templar Assassin
Well, that’s one headline that many of you should be used to at this point. Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko is perhaps the best Templar Assassin player in the world right now, and he showed Gaimin just why he has that reputation in the first place. Read: he went 14-0. While everyone else on BetBoom was doing their best to support him, Pure went into beast mode by slicing and dicing his way through Gaimin’s lineup.
Game 1 doesn't go our way.

Not even Arman “Malady” Orazbayev’s support Tinker could stave off the sheer damage and crowd control that Pure was dishing out in teamfights. And by crowd control I mean both the silence effect from Psionic Trap (R) and just the fact that he was killing everyone in sight.
Honestly, Gaimin did a pretty good job of hanging around in this game despite Pure’s incredible performance. It was actually kind of even throughout most of the mid game thanks to some good teamfight decisions from the Gladiators, but alas, it just wasn’t enough when you’ve got such an overfarmed position 1 Templar Assassin staring you down.
Game 2: Gpk Shuts ‘Em Down
Not to be outdone by his fellow core, Danil “gpk” Skutin made his presence very much felt in the second game as Tiny. Going 13-3 in what was definitely an impactful performance on the hero, he provided the control and forced repositioning that BetBoom needed to shut down Gaimin’s Lifestealer-Storm Spirit combo.
Down 0-2 to BetBoom Team in the Grand Finals. 😬

His mid game damage output was the icing on the cake, as he put out nearly 41,000 points of hero damage thanks to a fast Blink Dagger, Echo Sabre, and eventually Moon Shard. Incidentally, the mid game was exactly when BetBoom broke the game wide open, taking fights on their terms and making sure Gaimin were unable to put up much of a fight.
From the 25 minute mark onward, the game was pretty much already a lock in favor of BetBoom. Gaimin had nothing left save for one more lane of Barracks by the game’s end at 35 minutes, and they knew that they stood no chance against their opponents’ momentum.
Game 3: The Ringmaster Closes the Curtain
BetBoom Team didn’t want anything to do with a possible Gaimin reverse sweep comeback, so they made sure to crush any hopes of that in game 3 by picking Ringmaster for Vitalie “Save-” Melnic. And honestly, that’s all I really need to say about the final map in this series. Save-‘s use of Escape Act (W) to save (pun very much intended) his teammates in clutch situations made the difference.

No matter what it was that Gaimin tried when it came to confirming kills on low health heroes, Save- was just there every time to bail his buddies out. This allowed BetBoom so much room for counterinitiation, which was particularly great for them as they had a Magnus, Enigma, and even a freakin’ Naga Siren in their draft.
All Pure had to do from there was to clean up as Gyrocopter, and clean up he did with an 18-3 kill-death ratio by the end of the game. BetBoom simply looked so much better and much more prepared for this matchup, and so they are your FISSURE Universe Ep.4 grand champions.
