With Dota2ProTracker getting killed in the previous Immortal Draft update, it can be difficult to keep track of the meta and figure out which heroes are good. Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Here are the most popular picks in the ongoing FISSURE Universe 4 tournament that you can try out to win some MMR.

Tiny

Tiny has been and still is one of the most contested heroes in the professional scene. This hero offers a huge drafting advantage, as he can be flexed into four different roles. Apart from the role shenanigans, Tiny is an incredibly solid hero in itself. No pun intended.

Tiny is most effective on the carry role – he’s an extremely solid laner and gets a Battle Fury for 1,400 gold through his Aghanim’s Shard. A great item to pick up on him this patch is Revenant’s Brooch, allowing him to deal magical damage through his right clicks. He’s extremely tough to kill and deals tons of damage when scaling into the late game.

Magnus

Another extremely popular core hero in FISSURE Universe 4 is Magnus, which isn’t too surprising. Like Tiny, Magnus can be played in all three core roles, making him perfect to be picked early in the drafting stage. However, he is mostly being played in the carry role.

When playing carry Magnus, make sure to max out Empower and get a Mask of Madness for insane farming speeds. Professionals such as Crystallis have begun going for a 1-4-1 skill build and leveling up attributes instead of upgrading Shockwave and Skewer until level 16. This buffs up his attributes, which is extremely beneficial for Magnus, who is a universal hero.

Jakiro

Despite experiencing slight nerfs in patch 7.38b, Jakiro is still one of the most-picked support heroes in pubs and FISSURE Universe 4. He’s a great laner, Ice Path is still borderline broken, and he scales exceptionally well into the late game if he gets the opportunity to buy his Aghanim’s Scepter.

However, don’t prioritize your Aghanim’s Scepter too early. Make sure to get smaller items such as a Force Staff and an Aether Lens. The latter is incredibly beneficial, especially with how the new Ice Path works. Though his Aghanim’s Shard feels really good, you never want to buy it – pray you get it from the Tormentor.

Nature’s Prophet

At the time of writing, Nature’s Prophet boasts the highest win rate in the event with a 75% win percentage over 12 matches. He is primarily played as a carry, but some players like Malr1ne also love running him in the mid lane.

His Ironwood Treant facet makes it easy to micro treants and farm camps, and let’s not get started with how strong it gets once Nature’s Prophet hits level 25. The item build is straightforward – rush Mjolnir and get whatever is needed, a Black King Bar, Hurricane Pike, or even a Daedalus or Revenant’s Brooch.

Also, never forget about his Aghanim’s Shard – it’s S-Tier. Ideally, you want it as early as possible but don’t want to hinder the progress to your farming item. So, you should only get it after Mjolnir and Dragon Lance are completed.

Ancient Apparition

Ancient Apparition has been surfacing as a new popular pick in pubs and the professional scene. He is currently the most-played support hero at FISSURE Universe 4, even though he didn’t receive too many buffs in patch 7.38. Why is that?

One of the main reasons for his increasing pick-rate is due to the new Tormentors. With Tormentors being a higher priority, having an Ancient Apparition is always nice since you can just chuck an Ice Blast if the enemy team is taking the objective. You can use a Scan to make sure they’re actually over there. Additionally, Ice Blast is simply an incredible, game-changing spell in the late game.

Tidehunter

Tidehunter is another solid hero that is very popular in FISSURE Universe 4. Many professionals are starting to take his Krill Eater facet to scale better into the late game.

There are now two ways to build him. You can go for utility items such as Blink Dagger, Eul’s Scepter, and your typical aura items, or you can go for a scaling approach with Mage Slayer, Sange and Yasha, and Assault Cuirass.

The Krill Eater facet has also opened doors for Tidehunder to be played as a carry. Skiter, in particular, has been playing this hero a lot. However, it can be quite difficult to replicate and pull off in pubs, as you’ll need a coordinated team behind you.
