There’s no rest for the wicked in the world of Dota 2 play, as DreamLeague Season 24 comes less than 24 hours the grand finals of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. This online tournament features just as big a prize pool as BetBoom Dacha did, but with four more teams in the mix for a total of 16 squads.

Wanna know which clubs might do well? We’ve got the DreamLeague power rankings right here.

Team Falcons
There isn’t a Dota 2 fan worth their salt that hasn’t heard of Team Falcons’ exploits at this point.
They just came off a close victory at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade grand finals, and are looking to reclaim their throne as the best team in the world — kinda like how they were last year. They’ve also made two grand finals in a row now, so a third is absolutely on the cards at DreamLeague.
Tundra Esports

Tundra Esports could very well win the whole thing at DreamLeague, with the exact same chances of doing so as Falcons. The only reason we’re putting them lower is because it feels like cheating to have them both in the top spot. But truth be told, they’re just as good as Falcons when they’re firing on all cylinders.
There is one pretty significant weakness in this team, though: Neta “33” Shapira’s hero pool didn’t show up in the grand finals of BetBoom Dacha. He looked rather uncomfortable on Broodmother and Enigma after his signature heroes were first phase banned by Falcons, so he’s going to have to adjust quickly if he wants to have an impact when his usual picks aren’t available.
Heroic

Normally, we wouldn’t think to put a South American team this high on the list, but for DreamLeague in particular, we think Heroic has a serious shot at making the top 3. Beating Falcons in a best-of-five series is no small feat, and that’s what they did just a few weeks ago at PGL Wallachia Season 2.
If they manage to channel that momentum into DreamLeague, we could see them finish among the best here.
BetBoom Team

BetBoom Team put on a very respectable performance in Belgrade, getting all the way up to the top 3 spots before finally being eliminated by Tundra in the lower bracket final.
This squad has put in results sooner than we had anticipated, and though it’s still early days in the new season, we think they’re at least capable of top 6 finishes in the present.
Team Spirit

The same thing can be said about Team Spirit, who fell just short of the same place that BetBoom Team finished at in Belgrade.
This result was quite impressive given how many of their players from the TI12-winning roster left after TI13, and it might just be the case that they’ve figured things out ahead of schedule like BetBoom.
Team Liquid & Gaimin Gladiators

At first glance, putting the TI13 grand finalist teams this low on the list would seem like blasphemy, but their swift elimination from BetBoom Dacha Belgrade is cause for immediate concern. There’s just no way such seasoned rosters should ever get knocked out of a major tournament so quickly.
Both teams obviously have had teething problems with their new players, especially Gaimin Gladiators as they’ve had to figure out Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov’s playstyle and how to best adjust their gameplan to suit him. So, until they’ve acclimated to their new teammates, we won’t have much confidence in them as far as DreamLeague is concerned.
The Rest of the Field

Things get really muddy once you go down below seventh place on our power rankings for DreamLeague Season 24, especially with 4 new Dota teams in the mix. AVULUS gets the top spot here thanks to their top 8 finish at PGL Wallachia, followed by Nouns Esports who are still capable of upsetting the natural order from time to time.
Xtreme Gaming gets an honorable mention, considering that they’ve still got Wang “Ame” Chunyu in their ranks. Anywhere Ame goes, good things are almost sure to follow. And of course there’s Nigma Galaxy, whose new lineup does still feature Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. Sure, they’ve not been nearly as good as they were when they still played under Team Liquid’s banner, but maybe, just maybe, things could be different this time.
DreamLeague Season 24 starts today, October 27th, beginning with the group stage at 12AM ET. Make sure not to miss the action by watching through ESL’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
