The Eastern European scene continues to thrive at DreamLeague Season 24, with BetBoom Team first beating their compatriots in PARIVISION to hand them their first series loss in Group Stage 2, then crushing Team Falcons in a hard-fought series thereafter. Their match against Falcons is so far the most entertaining series in the second group stage, with the second game going the distance at 71 minutes and 6 seconds.
Throughout this series, Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko showed everyone just why teams can’t afford to give him Templar Assassin in any given match. The man flexed his extreme mechanical skill and game sense on the hero in both games, dishing out ridiculous amounts of damage and generally just carrying BetBoom to victory even in chaotic situations.
This 2-0 result places BetBoom Team in the top spot in Group Stage 2, with only two matches remaining on their schedule. Their next two opponents are by no means easy, with the first being Team Spirit and the second being Team Liquid. Team Spirit has been quite decent throughout this second group stage, with their healthy 8-6 map record keeping them afloat in the group.

Liquid have not fared too well during this phase with a map score of 4-6, but their matchup against Team Waska should help them increase their chances of survival. Liquid captain Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi mentioned in his post-game interview after beating Tundra Esports 2-0 on Monday that he and the rest of his team always managed to beat Team Waska back when they were still the old Thunder Awaken roster, so if they do beat them 2-0, BetBoom Team would do well not to just phone it in against them.
As for Falcons, they are now teetering on the edge of elimination — depending on how their final two matches go as well as how the others around them fare at the tail end of Group Stage 2. It would be disappointing to say the least if they don’t even make the playoffs here after winning BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, so they’ve got to figure out how to stay alive against the competition.
