It’s hard to believe we’re already close to the finish line at BLAST Open Fall 2025. Sixteen teams have battled to claim the crown in London, and today’s Semi-Finals delivered on all fronts. Vitality were locked in first against MOUZ, a clash that was followed up by G2 taking on FURIA.

While the earlier match involved two teams who are no strangers to Grand Finals, the latter would see a pair involved who are perhaps more familiar with falling earlier in the Playoffs. Yet, one was guaranteed to make it to tomorrow’s match among the final two. Here’s how it all went down.

Vitality reach first Grand Final of the season

It’s straight back to the big leagues for Vitality. Last season’s champions of everything have enjoyed a more muted start to this season, with multiple Semi-Final berths the best they were able to muster so far. When you’re the greatest, even a top-four finish feels like a dry spell.

But Vitality have had the time to lick their wounds. And like every great team with an era, they’ll be defined by how they bounce back from adversity. If BLAST Open Fall 2025 is their first real test in this regard, then they’re passing with flying colors.

MOUZ were the opponent in this Semi-Final, a frequent foe in 2025. Their last clash came at IEM Cologne, where MOUZ finally got the better of their adversaries. This clash, though, was a replay of this matchup throughout the rest of the year. This was Vitality showing MOUZ their place in the current Counter-Strike food chain. They got MOUZ out of there in two maps, and even the 15-round haul that MOUZ achieved across the series doesn’t tell the story of how inevitable this one felt.

There are still some issues for Vitality – ZywOo’s T-side form remains a big cause for concern. But given how they’ve started their season, nabbing a Grand Final spot at BLAST Open Fall 2025 will be welcomed with open arms. Crucially, mezii now has the chance to win in front of a home crowd in London. It could be the perfect comeback.

G2 usher in new era as huNter- IGL arc truly takes off

Over on the other side of the bracket, G2 locked in their second Grand Final of the year by taking down FURIA in a compelling fashion. After some real ups and downs over recent events, it has felt like this is the tournament where huNter-‘s IGL arc has enjoyed real lift off.

This was a statement win across the board. Dropping just ten rounds in total, they were in total control throughout. FURIA’s electric AWPer molodoy was totally neutered during the 2:0 series, while G2’s own HeavyGod looked every bit the elite rifler he’s being touted as. It was a much better showing from SunPayus too. If they can unlock his potential, it’s clear that G2’s ceiling is enormous.

For G2, beating FURIA might not qualify as a “statement win,” but don’t forget: they beat Spirit just to get to London in the first place. This is a top, top team operating at a great level right now, soaring to new heights with the addition of MATYS and sAw. Let’s not go over the top yet, but a win tomorrow over Vitality would show how G2 really mean business.
