Team Spirit have announced the signing of 17-year-old zweih from Nemiga, coming into the active CS2 lineup to replace magixx after six years. It truly is the end of an era for the team, as the young veteran steps aside to make way for new blood. The move sees Team Spirit make its first roster move since adding sh1ro in late 2023, after a string of disappointing results of late.

Team Spirit’s CS2 roster change marks the end of an era

Team Spirit patience wears thin despite CS2 Major win

Team Spirit’s latest CS2 roster move comes just seven months after they became CS2 Major winners for the first time ever. At the PW Shanghai Major 2024, they beat FaZe Clan 2:1 to lift the organizations first Major title, with a life-game from magixx being a huge part of that victory.

However, a string of disappointing results has left Team Spirit needing to make a change, and magixx feels like the obvious choice given current form.

zweih is Team Spirit’s chosen signing

Chosen to replace magixx is zweih, a 17-year-old who made waves after an impressive performance at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. He averaged a 1.21 and 1.28 rating in Stages 1 and 2 respectively, even while playing in particularly difficult anchor spots.

The conversation will now turn to whether zweih can live up to the hype. On Team Spirit, he will be expected to fight for trophies immediately, especially with players like donk and sh1ro by his side. It’s an exciting CS2 roster change, one that we’ll be watching with great interest.
