StarLadder has announced that it is set to host the second CS2 Major of 2025 in Budapest later this year. The event will be held between November 24th and December 14th, bringing 32 of the best CS2 teams in the world together to fight for glory and a staggering $1.25 million prize pot in Hungary.

StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 will be the second Major of the year, with the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 set to take place next month.
StarLadder to host first Counter-Strike Major since 2019
With StarLadder’s return to competitive Counter-Strike confirmed, it will be the tournament organizer’s first Major since the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, which was won by Astralis. The event will be played in front of a crowd at every stage. The first three stages will take place in Budapest’s MTK Sportpark, a venue boasting a 2,000-strong capacity.
However, Counter-Strike is undoubtedly better in front of the biggest crowd possible, and the StarLadder Budapest Major is set to deliver. When the Playoffs begin, the Major will move the MVM Dome, with 20,000 seats for fans to sit back and enjoy the show.

CEO of StarLadder Roman Romantsov had this to say on the organizer’s return to Counter-Strike:
“Hosting another Major is an incredible honor, and we’re determined to make it unforgettable. Budapest gives us the perfect stage to push the boundaries of what a live CS2 event can look and feel like. From day one to the Grand Finals, we’re building something that fans – both in the arena and watching around the world – will remember. We invite every Counter-Strike fan to be part of this iconic moment with us.“
