FURIA have secured their best-ever finish in the Hall of Heroes, defeating Spirit to reach the IEM Krakow 2026 Grand Final in a 2:1 series that promised the world in the first two maps, before ending in a whimper right at the finish line.

This Semi-Final series kicked off on Mirage, home turf for both sides. FURIA really should have seen this opener out in regulation, but a ballsy magixx call at 12:11 down made sure this back-and-forth map delivered an Overtime. It mattered little. Having already wasted two map points, FURIA battled back to see it out 16:13, avoiding being pulled into a grudge match with Spirit in Overtime.

Up next was Dust2. Again, two great maps for both teams. This was all neck-and-neck, with neither FURIA nor Spirit pulling ahead until the scoreline was 6:8 to FURIA. From this point onward, Spirit’s T-side completely took control, landing eight consecutive round wins to tie up the series 13:8. A donk and zont1x double act had given Spirit some hope.

So Nuke would be the decider. Going to a third was always going to be rough for Spirit, with FURIA possessing the stronger map pool right now. But few could have predicted how one-sided it would be to end. A 9:3 T-side from FURIA put this contest to a close before it ever really had the chance to begin, and they were able to close it out in an eventual 13:7.

After two back-to-back consecutive Katowice Grand Finals, it’s a disappointing showing from Spirit at IEM Krakow. With MOUZ and Vitality still set to play for the other slot in the Grand Final, it ends all hope of a rematch of the IEM Katowice 2025 Final, where Vitality dominated Spirit.
