JW’s return to Tier 1 Counter-Strike with EYEBALLERS is off to a dream start, after the Swedish lineup were able to deliver the first major shock of BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 by beating FaZe Clan 2:1. The clash between karrigan and JW, two old foes from the CS:GO days, was seen as little more than a nostalgic trip down memory lane, but the Swedish AWPer delivered a reminder of what he’s capable of to upset the odds at BLAST Bounty.
At the start of this BLAST Bounty match, it seemed to be going all according to the script for FaZe Clan. They romped to an easy win on Ancient, and it looked as though we were in for a quick series.
However, a total romp on Mirage put FaZe Clan on notice. They delivered a 13:4 win, with EYEBALLERS’ young guns finally coming online to show what Swedish Counter-Strike is still capable of.

With the pressure officially on, Inferno had all the potential to be a banger deciding map. The first half was close, EYEBALLERS edging it 7:5. But once the Swedes got onto their T-side, FaZe had no answers to the sheer firepower EYEBALLERS had at their disposal. It was a performance that will undoubtedly draw many eyes to bobeksde, who on Mirage and Inferno delivered two consecutive 2.00+ rated maps to seal the win. His Inferno T-side was decisive, securing fearless entries and ensuring FaZe Clan never really had a chance to play their CT-side.
Previous seasons of BLAST Bounty have faced criticism for their lack of upsets among fans. If a shock of this magnitude has taken place just two matches in, what else could BLAST Bounty have in store for us this time around?
