With $350,000 in prize money up for grabs, the upcoming BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 event is set to be among the most interesting in the 2025 Counter-Strike calendar so far. After BLAST decided to shake up its Counter-Strike circuit for this year, this will be the first-ever Rivals tournament, and I’m excited to see how it all plays out.
The format for the teams at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 has been shaken up a little by Valve requirements, as BLAST was required to invite a wildcard (no, not the team, but yes, the team of the same name did happen to be the NA wildcard invite for the event) from each continent. This has led to a strange divide in quality at BLAST Rivals Spring, where favorites and underdogs are fairly well-defined between the invited teams. Check out our BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 Power Rankings to see who has what it takes to pick up the trophy.

When Team Vitality head to the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, they’ll have the unique opportunity to win five consecutive Tier 1 CS2 tournaments after their glory down under at IEM Melbourne. It would represent a staggering level of consistency from the team, achieving a feat that even prime Astralis never managed. Let’s hold our horses, though, because there is real competition at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 that could be a threat to their throne.
Still, for now, there’s only one team I can really put in 1st place in these BLAST Rivals Spring Power Rankings. We’re living through a Team Vitality era, and it’s pretty foolish to pretend otherwise at this point. Falcons and MOUZ may have brought them close in their last two Grand Finals, but I can only put my money on the team that keeps winning, no matter how dire the situation looks.

In my BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 power rankings, I’ve got Team Spirit as low as 3rd, behind Team Falcons. Admittedly, it’s a tentative placement, one that may entirely be driven by recency bias in favor of Falcons. While Falcons flew out to reach the IEM Melbourne Final, Team Spirit withdrew from the event at the last minute, meaning their last official game on the server came at the end of March. That’s a long time out, and in Counter-Strike, you’re only as good as your recent performances.
Meanwhile, Falcons will only get better as m0NESY becomes more established in the team. Getting more reps in at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 certainly won’t harm their performance, either. For now, I’ve just got Falcons ahead of Team Spirit ahead the moment, especially considering the latter hasn’t won an event since BLAST Bounty at the start of the year. Still, you can never rule out the possibility that donk will go absolutely nuclear and destroy the competition. If Team Spirit arrive rejuvenated with new ideas, don’t be surprised to see them cause trouble in Copenhagen.
