For nearly seven years now, biguzera has led the line for paiN Gaming. Steering them through the highs and lows of Brazilian CS, biguzera and paiN have always found ways to bounce back and remain relevant in Tier 1.
With paiN Gaming’s debut at BLAST Rivals Hong Kong 2025 just around the corner, we had the chance to speak to biguzera to see how he feels about the roster right now.
Saumya: biguzera, how are you doing?
biguzera: Doing great, thank you for asking.
Saumya: You had like five days of break between Chengdu and Hong Kong. What did you do?
biguzera: Actually we had like two or three days of resting because we had some days of practising and yeah, I think just practising and resting a few days. So watching some games about Counter-Strike and the days that we had practicing, probably I was watching demos.
Saumya: So I mean, speaking of the season, you had a very good start with the top four finish at the Austin Major. But after that, things kind of shaken up a bit. So what has caused that?
biguzera: Yeah, I think after that we had a lot of pressure there, after, of course, and I think we could not handle well with this kind of pressure, you know. So yeah, I think that things was not like the way that we want, but I think we have to look to the positive things, positive side of everything. And we got Playoffs after that and yeah, I think it’s okay, the results.

Saumya: And now here at Hong Kong, you’re going to start off against FURIA, who are obviously coming in with a championship win. How confident are you going up against them?
biguzera: A lot of confidence. I mean, it’s a Brazilian derby, so we never know what’s going to happen. So we know they are a very good team, of course, very good momentum also. And let’s see. But yeah, we will try to break this kind of sequence.
Saumya: Yeah, so as you said, they’re also a Brazilian team. So, given the recent success, how has that influenced you? Like, has it motivated you?
biguzera: It’s not like a motivation, but I feel is some kind of energy during the game that I feel that is different because of course when we play against a Tier-S team, we of course, we really want to win, but when it’s a Brazilian one, we want more. And yeah, I know it’s more energy into the game, out of the game also. But for us we have to think it’s just one more match and one more game.
Saumya: You have not had as many big events as you would have wanted. So how important is it to have a really decent standing here?
biguzera: Yeah, it’s very good because it’s not just this event, but it’s the last one before the Major for us. So yeah, we have to be confident here and getting a lot of confidence after here also. But yeah, it’s so important for us to have a very good event here.

Saumya: Thinking in the last few days of the season, I was looking at some stats and I saw that the T sides have been a real point of struggle for you guys. So as an IGL, a lot falls on you to fix that. So how are you approaching things?
biguzera: Yeah, we are looking for the same. And yeah, it’s a thing that I’m trying to work on. It is something that I had a special look in,t because the past tournament, we did a very good job in CT side and T side was tough. And I mean, of course you have to work on it sometimes. Like I said the last week, for the guys like ‘Buy 2 flash” and always HE. And yeah, I think some things that we changed.
Saumya: Okay, just one final question about snow. He has been playing with you for like a year now. How has his development been?
biguzera: He’s like a sponge. You know, he’s always absorbing everything that I say to him. And, yeah, he’s a great guy. He’s, I think the main point of him is, like, he’s a great learner. Yeah. And, yeah, I think everything that we tried to teach him, he learns. So, yeah, I think the results are coming, and I think we can see it.
