VCT Pacific is home to some of the world’s best VALORANT teams, including a number of global event winners, and covers Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, and South Asia. In VCT Pacific Stage 2, the league’s 12 sides will aim to become the region’s latest winner as well as gain entry to VALORANT Champions in September.

VCT Pacific Stage 2 Format
The league begins with its 12 sides being split down the middle into two groups: Group Alpha and Group Omega. Each group then completes a single round-robin of best-of-three matches.
Once the group stage has concluded, the top four teams from each group move on to the playoffs and will begin their run in the bracket at different stages depending on group seeding. Those who finished fourth will begin in the lower bracket of knockouts, while second and third seeds start in the first rounds of the upper bracket. First seeds from the group stage will also start in the upper bracket, though they’ll earn a bye to the second round.
VCT Pacific Teams
Arguably the most famous esports organisation on the planet, T1’s VALORANT roster plies its trade in VCT Pacific and won its first-ever global title earlier this year at Masters Bangkok. The league also features other massive industry names like Gen.G and Talon.
More known in VALORANT specifically are the likes of Paper Rex, whose near-constant presence at global events, with largely an unchanged roster of the last few years, means that they’re enormous fan favourites.
Pacific Stage 2 Prize Pool
VCT Pacific Stage 2 has a total of $250k up for grabs for its participants, with teams winning larger amounts for higher playoffs placings. The grand final winners earn the most, taking home $100k. Second place will then win $65k, third place $40k, fourth place $25k, and fifth and sixth place $10k each.
Teams are also awarded Championship Points depending on their results. These points are awarded throughout the season both for regional and global performances, and the two teams with the most points following Stage 2 will both earn qualification to Champs.
The winners of Stage 2 will earn 7 points, second place 5 points, third place 4 points, and fourth place 3 points. Those below the top four will not receive any Championship Points.

VCT Pacific Teams to Watch
The drastic difference between Kickoff and Stage 1 results means that there are a multitude of teams that will be vying for a title in Stage 2.
Kickoff winners DRX went on to finish runners-up in Bangkok, though they collapsed to an early lower bracket exit in Stage 1. It was a similar story for T1 too, who came second in Kickoff and then won Bangkok but failed to make it past the first round of the lower bracket.
Paper Rex was the total opposite, having a disastrous run in Kickoff and an 0-3 start to Stage 1 before turning things around to earn a top-three finish.

This is all without even mentioning the finalists, Gen.G and Rex Regum Qeon. Gen.G still hold much of the 2024 roster that was considered one of the best ever assembled, and their second-place finish in Stage 1 has shown signs that they’re getting back to those levels now. They were beaten by RRQ, a side that, until now, had barely ever made a dent in a tier one competition. But suddenly they catapulted to elite status and will start Stage 2 amongst the favourites.
