Masters Bangkok is the first global Valorant Champions Tour event of the year, bringing the 8 winners of the kickoff stages from the Americas, Pacific, EMEA and China. This tournament not only gives the qualified teams a chance to earn more VCT points for Champions Paris but also a slice of the 50K prize pool and 5 Championship points to 1st place. Which team will take the opportunity to put a marker down on the global stage? And which international league will show themselves to be strongest?
We’ll all find out when it kicks off on February 20th, live from the UOB Live arena in Thailand.
Who will take part in VCT Masters Bangkok?
The Top 2 teams for each region will be competing at Masters Bangkok, any team that made it to the Grand Finals is on route to the first masters of the year. The Finals themselves were used to designate the number 1 and 2 seeds of each region. Outside of China, none of the Number 1 seeds came from the Lower bracket.

VCT Masters Bangkok Format
Masters Bangkok starts with Swiss Stage (BO3), with two wins getting to the playoffs and 2 losses will be eliminated. The regional pair ups will be pitting a #1 seed against a #2 seed from a different region.
The remaining teams will then enter the 4 team double-elimination bracket. The lower and grand finals will then be played best of 5.

VCT Masters Bangkok Playoff Bracket
Of the 8 teams making it there, all 4 that survivee Swiss will start in the Upper Bracket. The matchups were drawn live with the number 1 seeds being separated. With the matchups being EDG vs T1, and VIT vs G2, this means that an East vs West Upper Finals is guaranteed.
Final Bracket
Starting off with EDG vs T1 and Vitality vs G2. EDG would punch in their ticket to the Upper Bracket Finals 2-1 over T1. Team Vitality would suffer their first loss of the season at the hands of G2, who would get their revenge from swiss stage. Vitality would exit the Playoffs bracket in 2 straight losses as T1 took them to town in the Lower Semis. G2 would continue a string of upsets in rematches. They beat EDG 2-0 to secure Grand finals. EDG would not be given their chance at redemption, being shut out 3-1 by T1, who or on task to beat every #1 seed at the event if they want to win the whole thing.
Grand Finals Takes place Sunday March 2nd.
