Teams are split into 2 groups of 5, balancing returning Pacific league teams so they land in separate groups. Within each group, a single round-robin of Best-of-3 matches determines standings. After group play, 6 teams move on to the Playoffs. The top two in each group go to the Upper Bracket; third-place teams drop into the Lower Bracket.

Playoffs & Qualification Matches

From the Playoffs, matches continue as Best-of-3, except for the Ascension Matches. The Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Final double as the promotion deciders. Those two matches are best-of-five, and the winners secure their spot in VCT Pacific 2026.

In short: win your way through brackets; lose twice and you’re out. The final two best-of-five matches carry the biggest stakes.

What to Watch: Key Storylines & Predictions

  • Pacific league teams under pressure: BOOM and NS RedForce must fend off challengers determined to dethrone them as they aim to regain their spot in VCT Pacific
  • SEA vs Japan vs Korea battles: Motive Esports, RIDDLE ORDER, SLT Seongnam — regional pride is on the line with SEA teams having won Ascension in previous iterations until Sin Prisa lifted the first Ascension trophy for Korea last year.
  • Upset potential from underdogs: Teams like Velocity Gaming, or E-KING may surprise at the event since historically these regions tend to get grouped.
  • Meta adaptation & preparation: This Ascension acts as a proving ground before the new season — however, Veto is not allowed and the event will still be on the previous patch.
