The grand final of VALORANT Champions 2025, which saw NRG upset the odds to halt a Fnatic reverse sweep and win 3-2, reached a peak of 1.47 million viewers. This makes it the second most-viewed Champs final, behind only LOUD’s victory in 2022.

VALORANT Champions 2025 viewership

Unsurprisingly, the grand final of Champs Paris was the tournament’s most highly-viewed series, reaching a peak of 1,473,642 spectators, according to data made available by esports viewership analytics provider Esports Charts. In Champs history, this is only behind the peak of 1.51 million reached during LOUD’s 3-1 over OpTic Gaming in 2022. Finals peak viewership has remained reasonably steady during the years in between: 1.29 million in 2023 and 1.41 million in 2024.

Despite its climactic nature, the viewership of NRG and Fnatic’s bout may have suffered as a result of its finalists. For North American fans, the timing of the final would have made it much more difficult to tune in, starting at 4 a.m. for those based in Los Angeles where VCT Americas is located.

As for Asian viewership, the lack of a VCT Pacific representative in the final may have reduced interest — though the presence of Fnatic IGL Boaster, a worldwide VALORANT star, would still have been a consolation.

The greatest peak of the VALORANT Champion Tour (VCT) still remains the 1.69 million concurrent viewers that tuned in to the Masters Madrid grand final in 2024. The event still holds the all-time peak despite not having been the key tournament in the calendar that year.

Across its 102 hours of airtime, VALORANT Champions 2025 averaged 466,460 viewers and clocked up a total of 47.6 million hours watched. While both figures are an improvement on last year, Champs 2023 saw slightly higher stats with a 492k average and 53.6 million hours watched, though the latter figure was also aided by the tournament’s slightly longer run time of 109 hours.

Champs Paris viewership led by Paper Rex

NRG and Fnatic’s grand final was the only matchup out of the tournament’s five most-watched that did not include Pacific fan favourites Paper Rex. While they’ve typically been one of VCT’s most popular teams over the years, their Masters Toronto victory had finally seen them elevated to tournament favourites heading into Champions, and, as such, there was heightened interest in their run at the event.
