The Alpha vs. Omega conflict has arrived in VALORANT, bringing with it a month-long competition that pits players against each other in a fight for the future of two realities. With exclusive rewards, physical merchandise, and bragging rights on the line, this event represents one of VALORANT’s most ambitious community challenges to date.
After the new lore video, the conflict between Alpha Earth and Omega Earth has escalated, as have the stakes for both planets. Players must choose between the two factions: Alpha or Omega, and compete in weekly challenges to earn points for their side. Each week introduces a new objective, and the faction with the most accumulated points claims victory along with exclusive rewards. Those who dominate the leaderboards will earn physical prizes, including branded peripherals and apparel.
The event also features creator leaderboards, allowing content creators to battle for their chosen faction with dedicated tracking and rewards.
Before joining the conflict, players must meet specific requirements:
Basic Requirements:
Geographic Restrictions: Players cannot participate if they reside in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Sudan, Venezuela, Greece, Italy, Romania, Quebec, or Myanmar. Those in regions where VALORANT is published by local publishers (such as China) are also excluded, with exceptions for Taiwan and Vietnam.

Participation requires three simple steps:
By January 7th, 2026, the event had already attracted over 600,000 participants according to the FTW platform.
The Alpha vs. Omega conflict runs from January 7, 2026 at 12:00 AM PT through February 3, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. The event is structured across four competitive weeks:
Week 1 (Jan. 7-13): Highest number of kills with the Bandit pistol in any game mode
Week 2 (Jan. 14-20): Most wins in the All Random One Site game mode
Week 3 (Jan. 21-27): Highest assist count across any game mode
Week 4 (Jan. 28-Feb. 3): Most points in competitive matches (3 points per win, 1 point per loss)
For players tied in weekly standings, Average Combat Score (ACS) during that week’s challenge serves as the tiebreaker.
Players earn faction points based on their performance in weekly leaderboards. Individual placement determines how many points contribute to the overall faction total. The faction accumulating the most points by the end of each week wins that challenge and unlocks rewards for its members.

Members of the winning faction who play at least three games during that week’s challenge receive an exclusive player card. These cosmetics are delivered via redemption codes on the FTW platform and must be redeemed within three months of delivery.
Four unique player cards are available: one for each weekly challenge victory.
The top 20 overall performers (10 from each faction) across the entire event receive physical rewards based on their platform:
PC Players receive:
Console Players receive:
The top creator from each major region (Americas, EMEA, and Pacific) on the creator leaderboard receives platform-specific prizes matching those awarded to top individual players.
Regional Note: Players from Vietnam, South Korea, and other restricted regions cannot receive physical prizes. Instead, they receive VALORANT Points equivalent to the prize’s market value.

In-game rewards become available through the FTW platform:
Physical prize winners will be contacted directly through the FTW platform and registered email addresses. If delivery proves impossible, winners receive VALORANT Points matching the prize value instead.
The event features multiple leaderboards for tracking progress:
Event Leaderboard: Ranks the top performers from both Alpha and Omega factions based on cumulative weekly performance.
Creator Leaderboard: Tracks content creators separately, with regional breakdowns for Americas, EMEA, and Pacific.
Players can monitor their standing and their faction’s overall performance throughout each weekly challenge on the FTW platform.
Complete official rules are available on the FTW VALORANT challenges page. In any conflict between promotional materials and the official rules, the latter takes precedence. Players experiencing issues or wishing to report inappropriate behavior should use the “Submit a Report” button on the FTW platform. For technical difficulties, Riot Games Player Support provides assistance through the official support portal.
