Details surrounding the TEN 2025 Valorant Global Invitational, an off season event held in South Korea, have been announced. The two-day tournament will feature DRX, Nongshim RedForce, Team Heretics, and Wolves Esports.
The Esports Night (TEN) 2025 Valorant Global Invitational has been announced by the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency, an organisation aimed at supporting growth within South Korea’s South Chungcheong province.
According to the announcement, four teams are set to compete across two days, November 8-9, with representation from three of the four VCT regions. The event will take place at Hoseo University in Asan, featuring a 40 million KRW (~$28.2k USD) prize pool.
From Pacific, Korean orgs DRX and Nongshim RedForce will attend, the latter of which is currently fighting for its VCT Pacific spot for next year through the region’s Asension tournament. From China, Wolves Esports will also be present in Asan, while EMEA’s Team Heretics completes the list of attendees.
TEN will also feature additional fan activations, including signing sessions, prize draws, DRX and NS shops, and exhibition booths. Tickets will set fans back 5,000 KRW (~$3.53 USD). Online broadcasts will be available on YouTube, CHZZK, and Huya.
The tournament was previously announced during an update on VCT off season events for 2025, though finer details were not shared until now.
While no format has been confirmed, the event’s previous two iterations — also featuring four teams — both employed the same structure. These saw the four sides complete a best-of-one single round-robin on day one to determine 1st to 4th seeding.
Then, on day two, a gauntlet was completed: a best-of-one between the 3rd and 4th seeds for the quarter-final, a best-of-three between the QF winner and the 2nd seed for the semi-final, and a BO3 between the SF winner and the 1st seed for the grand final.
The 2024 iteration, dubbed the TEN VALORANT Asia Invitational, was won by Gen.G, beating TALON 2-1 in the final. The year prior saw Cloud9 victorious as the only non-Asian representative, as they beat DRX.
In 2022, the first TEN event saw a single best-of-five showmatch between DAMWONG Gaming and NS, won 3-0 by the former.
