Paper Rex have officially confirmed the signing of Adrian “invy” Jiggs Reyes, adding a proven VCT Pacific performer to their VALORANT roster. The longtime Team Secret player joins as a direct replacement for PatMen, who was released after a mid-season stint and has since moved on to Global Esports. With Paper Rex coming off the most successful year in the organization’s history, the move signals a continued push to refine flexibility and firepower as the team looks to remain among the world’s elite.

Invy’s Career: A Benchmark of Consistency

Invy arrives at Paper Rex after spending the last three seasons with Team Secret, where he established himself as one of the most consistent performers in the Pacific region. Primarily known for his work on Initiator agents, invy also expanded his role in 2025 by flexing into Sentinel duties, showcasing a versatility that became increasingly valuable as Team Secret experimented with different compositions. His peak with the organization came in 2024, when he played a key role in Team Secret’s run to the APAC Predator League title.

“As VALORANT matures beyond its 5th year, the VCT circuit is more competitive than ever, and we must evolve and iterate faster to achieve our goals. The coaches and players have worked hard over the offseason and determined that adding a seasoned player like invy to the PRX family allows us to upgrade our firepower,” said Paper Rex Chief Gaming Officer Harley “dsn” Örvall.

Despite Team Secret’s struggles in VCT Pacific Stage 1, where the team finished with only a single win on their record, invy stood out individually. He ended the stage as Team Secret’s highest-rated player, underlining his ability to deliver strong performances even when results were not going the team’s way.

Paper Rex’s Evolution and Recent Success

Paper Rex’s identity has long been built on chaos, aggression, and an unusually deep pool of Duelist talent. However, the team’s structure shifted in 2025 following the benching of long-time core member mindfreak. To stabilize their approach, PRX brought in PatMen to anchor the recon Initiator role, a change that reshaped responsibilities across the roster.

With PatMen in place, f0rsakeN transitioned into a more permanent Controller role, while something locked in as the team’s primary Duelist. D4v41 handled Sentinel and secondary Controller duties, and in certain compositions, even Jinggg stepped into Sentinel roles on Sage or played a second Duelist. The adjustments paid off in a major way.

After a slow start at Kickoff, Paper Rex resurged after a bad beginning to Stage 1, squeaking into Pacific playoffs by the skin of their teeth and finishing third. This qualified them as the last seed for Masters Toronto, where they ultimately ended up lifting the trophy, marking the organization’s first-ever global title after years of heartbreak with second and third-place endings. That momentum carried through Stage 2, which ended with another trophy at VCT Pacific, before PRX capped the year with a fourth-place finish at Champions Paris.

Farewell PatMen, hello invy

Invy steps into the roster spot previously occupied by PatMen, whose tenure with Paper Rex began midway through 2025. While PatMen contributed to PRX’s historic successes, the organization ultimately opted for a different profile moving forward. Alecks had said in a press interview that when they were looking for a replacement for mindfreak last year, they had considered invy as a top choice, but were unable to get him onto the team back then.

In invy, Paper Rex gain not only a recon Initiator but also a player capable of seamlessly covering Sentinel roles, adding another layer of adaptability to an already dynamic lineup. This flexibility gives head coach Alexandre “alecks” Sallé and assistant coach Wendler more freedom when crafting compositions, particularly in a meta that increasingly rewards teams able to pivot roles mid-series.

Paper Rex confirmed that invy has already begun practicing with the team and will debut with the roster at the Radiant International Invitational in Fuzhou, China, running from December 18 to 22. According to the organization, “Invy brings with him extensive experience in tier one and great flexibility in the game. He’s a player we’ve had on our radar for a while, and we’re confident he raises the ceiling of what this team can be.” His experience and firepower definitely make him an excellent pickup for the upcoming season.

With invy’s arrival, Paper Rex reinforce their commitment to evolution rather than reinvention, building on a championship core while adding a player who can raise the team’s ceiling through versatility and composure. The current VALORANT roster for Paper Rex is:

  • Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto

  • Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie
  • Ilia “something” Petrov

  • Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee

  • Adrian “invy” Jiggs Reyes

  • Alexandre “alecks” Sallé (Head Coach)

  • Laijhun “Panda” Cheng  (Performance Coach)

  • Ashton “Wendler” Wendler  (Assistant Coach)
