Hotspawn spoke with Paper Rex in-game leader Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto for an interview after beating Sentinels to reach the final four of the inaugural EWC VALORANT event.
What are your thoughts after 2-0 ‘ing Sentinels, especially having had the same score in Toronto?
I mean, yeah, we played against them before in Toronto, so we kind of know how they play. And I think the first map, I will say we kind of beat the dominance on the first map because they kind of show us how they play against the previous team, [which] is kind of similar to what we did when on Icebox.
How much relief was there in winning in Toronto, and does it make PRX the best team worldwide?
It really means a lot and kind of relief that we can finally get a trophy, you know, after like so many years. For the best team in the world, I mean, I would prefer to win the Champions title first, then maybe you can consider [us] the best team in the world.
Next, you’ll either play Fnatic or KCorp. What are your thoughts on those teams?
Fnatic, I think we’ll play with Boaster. So his IGL is really good. He knows how to anti-strat a lot of teams. He’s good at a lot of anti-strats, I’ll say. On KC, I think it’s kind of similar because the team is from Europe. So I think it’s kind of maybe a little bit different playstyle, maybe KC [is] a bit [more] aggressive. But overall, I will prefer against KC if I can, but Fnatic is also tough to play.
How have you found EWC VALORANT so far, particularly around the strong fan support PRX has had at the event?
Yeah, I think for EWC, it’s my first time going to Riyadh here actually. I like it a lot, except the weather. The weather is really hot, but the food is really nice. So I really enjoy being in the EWC. And I think for all the fans, I appreciate that you guys keep supporting us and coming into the arena today. So, yeah, thank you.
