Valorant’s roster showcases a vibrant and global mosaic of agents—each grounded in unique backgrounds, abilities, and geographic roots. Have you wondered where exactly each agent is from, and what are all the Valorant agent locations?

From the original gang that released with the beta with favorites like Jett and Sage, all the way to the latest duelist Waylay, Hotspawn has attempted to trace the origin and real names of the agents as well as a couple of standout traits/fun facts that shape their lore. For example, Raze and Killjoy are a canon ship, and Omen likes to knit. Let’s explore the world behind the Valorant protocol agents.

1. Brimstone

• Real Name: Liam Byrne
• Country / City: USA – Baltimore, Maryland
• Facts: He is a founding member of the Valorant Protocol alongside Viper and an ex-firefighter and military commander. He uses orbital strikes and tactical smokes.

2. Jett

• Real Name: Sunwoo Han
• Country / City: South Korea – Seoul
• Facts: She used to be a chef in Korea, but it’s implied her radiant powers destroyed her restaurant.

3. Sova

• Real Name: Sasha Novikov
• Country / City: Russia – Severomorsk, Murmansk Oblast
• Facts: He is an archer with a mechanical eye as well as a tracker who has faced alternate-Earth phenomena.

4. Phoenix

• Real Name: Jamie Adeyemi
• Country / City: United Kingdom – London
• Facts:  He has a performing arts background and was turned Radiant. It is implied he burnt down his sister Mary’s school and caused her permanent scarring thanks to losing control of his Radiant abilities, which is why he hasn’t been back home in ages.

5. Sage

• Real Name: Ling Ying Wei
• Country / City: China – Xi’an region
• Facts: She is a Radiant monk capable of healing and resurrection and a spiritual leader training other Radiants.

6. Omen

• Real Name: Unknown (although Fred is implied to have been his name before)
• Country / City: Unknown
• Facts: Once human before Radianite transformation, now Omen is a mystery to all, including himself. He continues to look for answers, which are connected to Viper.

7. Viper

• Real Name: Sabine Callas
• Country / City: USA – Seattle
• Facts: She is a doctorate-level chemist and original Protocol member. Chamber also has a thing for her.

8. Raze

• Real Name: Tayane Alves
• Country / City: Brazil – Salvador, Bahia
• Facts: Raze is a former street artist as well as Killjoy’s partner.

9. Cypher

• Real Name: Amir El Amari
• Country / City: Morocco – Rabat
• Facts: His voicelines imply he’s lost all his family and he deeply distrusts Kingdom for damaging his hometown.

10. Breach

• Real Name: Erik Torsten
• Country / City: Sweden
• Facts: He was born without arms and built bionic replacements then became a criminal before joining the Valorant Protocol. He and Raze get along best due their propensity for engineering and explosions.

11. Reyna

• Real Name: Zyanya Mondragón
• Country / City: Mexico
• Facts: She is a soul‑devouring Radiant who distrusts machines and is haunted by memories of her sister, Lucia. She wants to create a safe haven for Radiants.

12. Killjoy

• Real Name: Klara Böhringer
• Country / City: Germany
• Facts: She’s invented all of her own equipment as well as works on items for the team such as Brimstone’s arm bracer.

13. Skye

• Real Name: Kirra Foster
• Country / City: Australia
• Facts: She is a nature-based Radiant healer and info initiator who was initially reluctant to join the team. She loves animals and the wild.

14. Yoru

• Real Name: Ryo Kiritani
• Country / City: Japan
• Facts: He is descended from a line of Samurais. He also has some of the best voicelines in the game. (Gems such as “How did every piece of trash end up on the same team?” come to mind.)

15. Astra

• Real Name: Efia Danso
• Country / City: Ghana
• Facts: She doodles while thinking. She also had the first nonverbal voiceline in the game with her just humming.

16. KAY/O

• Real Name: KAY/O (designation)
• Country / City: Unknown (future Earth)
• Facts: He is an anti-Radiant combat robot from an alternate future who somehow developed a boxing-like persona. He seems to be best buddies with Brim.

17. Chamber

• Real Name: Vincent Fabron
• Country / City: France
• Facts: He used to be a weapons designer for Kingdom and he is one of the few agents who is actually friends with his alternate-world counterpart.

18. Neon

• Real Name: Tala Nicole Dimaapi Valdez
• Country / City: Philippines
• Facts: She is a bio‑electric speedster who has always struggled a bit with controlling her powers.

19. Fade

• Real Name: Hazal Eyletmez
• Country / City: Turkey
• Facts: She literally hunts enemies via fear and her abilities like her ult were based on traditional Henna tattoos.

20. Harbor

• Real Name: Varun Batra
• Country / City: India
• Facts: He used to be an archaeologist/artefact specialist who found a magic bracelet. Also, fun fact, his name means “water god.”

21. Gekko

• Real Name: Mateo Armendáriz de la Fuente
• Country / City: USA – Los Angeles
• Facts: He’s one of the closest agents to Reyna and even his critters seem to get along with her.

22. Deadlock

• Real Name: Iselin (mononym)
• Country / City: Norway
• Facts: She got her bionic arm with the scary tech after she lost the original to a radianite bear.

23. Iso

• Real Name: Li Zhao Yu
• Country / City: China – Chongqing
• Facts: He was originally an assassin hired by another organization to kill Omen. He joined the Valorant protocol as a double agent for that purpose but ended up liking his work more and joined them for real.

24. Clove

• Real Name: Unknown
• Country / City: Scotland
• Facts: They were the first non-binary agent in the game and the most Gen-Z of the lot, makes DND references in the field.

25. Vyse

• Real Name: Unknown
• Country / City: Unknown
• Facts: She makes an effort to be supportive, especially towards agents who have had violent or troubled pasts, such as Breach, Iso, Omen and Viper.

26. Tejo

• Real Name: Unknown (it is implied that Tejo is both a codename and his given one)
• Country / City: Colombia
• Facts: He has a mercenary or military history likely given his affinity and talent with weapons and explosives.

27. Waylay

• Real Name: Unknown
• Country / City: Thailand
• Facts: She’s an old acquaintance of Tejo who eventually ends up joining the team.
