Super Yoshi’s Great Escape Secures Smart Omega’s First Win

Smart Omega has finally put one up the board after defeating Twisted Minds in MPL Philippines Season 15 on their 3rd Week. The eternal dark horse of MPL PH has found their footing and ready to take on their next opponents in the near future.

After three consecutive losses for Smart Omega, Super Yoshi arrives to secure them their first win, with a highlight-worthy play, especially from his role as a Roamer. Using the hero Badang, he diverted the attention of Twisted Minds players towards him instead of the main neutral objective, the Lord.

Highlight of the Day

Smart Omega might be 5th in my MPL PH power rankings but perhaps Super Yoshi is here to prove me wrong. When asked by MPL PH host, Hans Galeria, “You were the only one left in that area. What was happening there?”

“Nothing, my only goal in that instance was just to block Alice from going in so she couldn’t use Retribuion (Jungler Battle Spell). I didn’t expect I would go out alive.”, answered Super Yoshi. (“Wala, ang habol ko lang naman dun ano eh parang harangan ko lang yung Alice para hindi siya makaRetri. Ganun. Pero hindi ko inexpect mabubuhay pa ko dun eh”).

It is unusual for a Roamer to get the highlight of a great escape since it usually goes for the carries of the team, which are mostly the Gold Laners and Junglers.
