ONIC PH Winning In Game and In Life: Coach Ynot Proposes

Week 6 of MPL PH S15 has just started and ONIC Philippines has finally secured a spot in the playoffs. With their win streak continuing on the road to playoffs, the world champions are getting in shape once again to defend their title. This is a good time to regain their championship form if they want to enter MLBB MSC 2025 x EWC in Riyadh, and be the first team to get a grand slam win.

THE WORLD CHAMPIONS ARE BACK

After a subpar performance during the start of the league, ONIC Philippines has finally shown their true form leading to the second half of MPL PH S15. ONIC PH has kept their promise on getting even against the teams that have bested them during the first half of the season. Last week, they won against the undefeated Aurora Gaming, handing Aurora their first loss in the season. Now, they’ve also added Team Falcons to their list of teams they have evened the score as they swept them 2-0 during Day 1 of Week 6 of MPL PH S15. There were only 3 teams who beat ONIC Philippines in the first half and these are two of them, which means only Team Liquid PH is left in their list of teams to beat in the regular season.

With this win, ONIC Philippines is the 3rd team to secure a spot in the playoffs, joining Aurora Gaming and Team Liquid PH in the mix. After surprising the team with the announcement of their spot secured in the playoffs, Coach Tony “Ynot” Senedrin also surprised us with a question we will never forget as he asked his significant other to marry him live on stream. Aside from winning the match against Team Falcons, Coach Ynot is winning in life as his girlfriend answers with a resounding “yes”. Congratulations to Ynot!

During the post match interviews, Coach Ynot was asked on how long has he been trying to propose and here’s what he had to say:

“Actually, in my few months together with Dorothy, I already told her that she will be the one I will marry, making sure I’m already secured. It could be unfair that I wasn’t secured. I need to be able to provide for her.” (“Actually first few months naming ni Dorothy, sinabi ko sa kaniya na siya na yung papakasalan ko making sure na secured ako. It could be unfair na hindi ako secured. Kailangan ko kasi makapag provide for her.”)

He continued answering after the follow up question of how he knew Dorothy was the one for him:

“I had a vivid dream before when I was about 20+ years old. I didn’t see her face clearly but she had a mole on her cheeks. So when it was the first time I saw her, the dream I had was the first thing I remembered.” (“Meron kasi akong vivid dream before mga 20+ ako, wala siyang mukha pero may nunal siya dito (cheeks). So nung first time na nakita ko siya, yung dream ko yung unang naalala ko.”)

With this win in game and in life, ONIC Philippines’ morale is in an all time high as they tackle the second half of MPL Philippines with ease. Their old form is returning in the perfect timing as we’re coming to the conclusion of the regular season of MPL PH S15. Their next match will be their last revenge match against Team Liquid PH in 3 weeks time, April 26, 7:30 PM GMT+8 and everyone will be tuning in for that match so don’t miss it.
