MSC Wildcard Day 3 has concluded, and the final two teams to compete for the last spot of the MSC Group Stage have been determined.
We are now bound for the 2nd phase of MSC 2025 in EWC as we conclude the wildcard tomorrow. Here’s everything that’s happened in MSC Wildcard Day 3.

First off, we had a rematch from Day 1 of the MSC wildcard, and The MongolZ sought revenge against the team who sent them to the lower bracket. All of the teams already played on Day 1 and 2, which gave enough data for teams to study coming to MSC Wildcard Day 3.
The MongolZ certainly did their homework on Legion Esports as they got used to how Legion Esports worked. Both games had Legion Esports take the early lead, but as time passed, The MongolZ knew how to counter the movements of Legion Esports. They even picked a pocket support, Estes, to counter Legion Esports’ 5-man snowball in game 1. The MongolZ then moved to face Virtus.pro for the semifinals of the Wildcard knockout phase.
Yet another rematch was made for the next match between ZETA DIVISION and INFLUENCE RAGE. This time, however, INFLUENCE RAGE didn’t get surprised anymore, as they have faced ZETA before. INFLUENCE RAGE knew what lane to target that still lacked international experience, which made this match quick to end.
No unusual picks also happened for the match, but it had targeted bans such as Bruno and Masha against ZETA. A heartwarming interaction of both teams hugging and cheering each other on was done after the match, showing how close they’ve become in such a short time in MSC 2025 Wildcard. INFLUENCE RAGE then faced Rare Atom for the 2nd semifinals of the Wildcard knockout phase.
This was the first time these teams faced each other, but Virtus.pro had the clear advantage of studying the match earlier. Both games 1 and 2 had the same exact result of The MongolZ trying to contest the neutral objectives but couldn’t because of one play. The standout player for this match was BadKot using Phoveus in both games, hindering The MongolZ from even entering the premises of the neutral objectives.
He knew what his hero needed to do and suppressed The MongolZ from even contesting, giving their substitute jungler, Andoryuuu, an easy time to play the game. With that, Virtus.pro is the first team to move on to the grand finals after MSC Wildcard Day 3.

On the other side of the bracket, a similar case happened as Rare Atom had a lot of time to prepare for their LATAM region opponent. It was amazing how Rare Atom showcased next-level macro gameplay, which can be parallel or greater to some of the teams in the group stage. Both games felt like an inevitable loss for INFLUENCE RAGE, as Rare Atom’s lead increased by the minute. They also only needed 2 lord takes to finish the series, giving them the final slot for the grand finals of the MSC 2025 Wildcard stage.

The farthest a wildcard team has gotten was Top 8 of last year’s MSC. The team Homebois, consisting of the roster of Sepat, Chibi, Udil, Nets, and Xorn, made it to the knockout stage of MSC, bagging a spot for the final 8 teams to compete for the title. They came close against their opponents NIP Flash with a 3-2 score, finishing only in the 5-8th spot of the competition. Let’s see if Virtus.pro or Rare Atom could reach the similar spot as last year’s or even go further in the competition.
The final day of MSC 2025 Wildcard will be tomorrow, July 13, 2025, at 2:30 PM GMT+3. The winner will go to the next stage of MSC 2025 against the other 15 waiting teams already qualified for the group stage. The Group Draw for MSC 2025 Group Stage will also happen 30 minutes after the grand finals of the wildcard so you better not miss it.
