It was a long day for MSC 2025 Wild Card Day 1, with tons of unexpected results!

You can really see the growth of MLBB Esports as all of the emerging regions are showing up well so far. This is everything that’s happened in MSC Wildcard Day 1.
MSC Wildcard Day 1 Results
Rare Atom vs. Team Falcons

Team Falcons was clearly the favorite of the two, and it showed during the first game. The game had very unorthodox picks like Guinevere Jungle and the return of Uranus EXP Lane. The 2nd and 3rd games, however, shocked the world with Rare Atom winning by comeback and then a stomp. Nobody predicted such a new team on the international stage would beat one of the wildcard favorites so easily in Game 3.
Rare Atoms advances to the upper bracket of group A, while Team Falcons awaits their opponent in the lower.
Legion Esports vs. The MongolZ
The second series of MSC Wildcard Day 1 was kind of a toss-up between the two teams, both are still developing.
The MongolZ won the first game with their quick tempo and 5-man snowball to end the game swiftly. The 2nd and 3rd games, however, went to the side of Legion Esports because of their import KramGod, using Chou’s kicks for pickoffs. It was a masterclass for that level of MLBB esports, bobbing and weaving in and out of fights to find perfect opportunities. Another reverse sweep was made as Legion Esports advanced to face Rare Atom, while The MongolZ got Team Falcons for their next match.
ZETA DIVISION vs INFLUENCE RAGE

With LATAM teams’ experience in their own regional tournament, they clearly had the advantage going into the matchup with the returning Japan region in MLBB.
That wasn’t the case for game 1, as Ten’s Hayabusa simply styled on LATAM’s representative, especially his 2v1 outplay against Jotun and Pakitoo. It was like watching Kairi or KarlTzy’s Hayabusa at that specific moment. Once again, however, INFLUENCE RAGE woke up after that game and clearly showed the Japanese team what it feels like to be a regular in the international scene. Both games were stomps by INFLUENCE RAGE, having yet another reverse sweep for the MSC Wildcard Day 1.
Virtus.Pro vs. Niightmare Esports
The super rookies showed what EECA’s 2nd best can do on the international stage, even without their star jungler, Zaur Egoist. Their replacement for Zaur, Andoryuu from MPL PH’s Smart Omega, was also threatening, to say the least, as Niightmare Esports banned 5 jungle heroes in the 2nd game. Both games 1 and 2 were not even close to being a match for Virtus. The pro didn’t break a sweat, especially after MSC Wildcard Day 1 game 1.
Virtus.Pro will be facing INFLUENCE RAGE in the upper bracket of group B, while Niightmare Esports will face ZETA DIVISION in the lower.
Meta Shift in MSC Wildcard
There are 2 returning heroes joining the international stage with an immediate 100% contention rate at the start of MSC Wildcard Day 1. The return of Yi Sun Shin and Uranus to the meta is not a surprise, as they were buffed directly and indirectly with the changes from the current patch. Let’s see if these two would stay at a 100% contention rate until the group stage and if the top teams would also consider them to be priority picks.
The next day of MSC 2025 Wildcard will be on July 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM GMT+3. The winners of the upper brackets of both groups will already advance to the wildcard playoffs, while the lower bracket matchups will determine the first eliminated teams in MSC 2025.
