LPL Split 2 Playoffs

LPL Split 2 Playoffs is the second phase of the second split for the League of Legends Professional League that will determine the two representatives heading to the Mid-Season Invitational as well as the upcoming Esports World Cup.

LPL Split 2 Playoffs 2025 Format & Teams

The LPL Split 2 Playoffs will have two phases: Knight Rivals (play-in) and the Bracket stage.

During Knight Rivals, the six bottom teams from Group Ascend and the top two from Group Nirvana will face each other in a single-elimination series. Matchups are decided based on seeding (the best team from Group Ascend going against the second-best team from Group Nirvana).

The winner from each individual matchup will then join the Group Ascend’s top four in the playoff phase, who can choose their round 1 opponents from the Knight Rivals winner based on seeding order.

The top two to qualify for the grand final will also be the two teams the LPL sends to the upcoming international event, the Mid-Season Invitational.

All matches in the LPL Split 2 Playoffs will feature Hard Fearless Draft, with side selection in Game 5 decided by a 1v1 solo match. A player cannot play two 1v1s consecutively.

All playoff matches will be taking place in Beijing, at JDG’s home venue.
