Initially scheduled for October 10, Riot Games has made a late announcement regarding the release of the 2025 Worlds song, as the team is looking to edit the music video to remove FlyQuest’s toplaner, Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau, following the recent controversy.
The music video and the song will be released on October 13, the day prior to the start of the tournament. The delay will give the production team enough time to remove the player’s appearance in the video, who was supposedly representing the LTA region.
According to the official post by Riot Games, the decision was “not part of any sanction or competitive ruling”, but a decision about the company wanted to represent LoL esports and community on a global stage.
The decision came weeks after Bwipo faced major backlash for making remarks on women, prior to the start of the LTA Regional championship. His comments already led to the team suspending him for one match last month, with substitute top laner Gagkos stepping in.
One of the leading female pros in the esports scene, G2’s Hel ADC Maya “Caltys” Henckel, expressed her thoughts on socials, stating that an opportunity was wasted. “Instead of giving Bwipo a slap on the wrist and trashing material someone worked hard on, wouldn’t actually promoting the women’s scene be a better approach?” she said on her X post, signaling at the ongoing Game Changers Rising competition.
This feels like a silly move to score a few internet points. He's still going to play and is very much representing NA.

The Worlds song has been a long-standing tradition for the event, as Riot Games tends to use iconic artists from the hosting region to celebrate the biggest tournament of the competitive year. After featuring Linkin Park in the 2024 Worlds Song “Heavy is the Crown”, this year’s anthem will be performed by Gloria Tang Sze-wing, also known as G.E.M. She is a Chinese singer and is considered one of the biggest artists when it comes to mando-pop.
