Riot Games has announced the return of the classic Summoner’s Cup for Worlds 2025 and unveiled the music artists that will perform the official anthem at the opening ceremony.
Riot Games has confirmed today that the classic Summoner’s Cup will return with a refreshed design, reintroduces its original silhouettes but with a weight nearly half of the previous edition, making it easier for the champions to lift it. A return to the origins for Riot, which is celebrating its 15 years of League of Legends esports. This version of the Summoner’s Cup was created by VOLPIN and it will make its way to Chengdu for the Grand Final with the support of automotive partner Mercedes-Benz.
With the Worlds song confirmed to be released on October 10 prior to the start of the tournament, Riot also revealed which artists are behind the anthem and will perform at the Opening Ceremony for the finals at Chengdu’s Dong’an Lake Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium.
The main performance will be by Hong Kong singer and producer G.E.M. (Gloria Tang Sze-wing), alongside Italian-American DJ Anyma, with supporting performances by Austrian singer TEYA and the timeless Chrissy Costanza. According to a release, the Worlds 2025 anthem will spotlight legendary players, iconic teams, and unforgettable plays, honoring the legacy of LoL Esports since 2011.

Riot also mentioned it will release elite chromas for two previous Worlds championship skin lines: the 2017 Samsung Galaxy and the 2018 Invictus Gaming skins. The two were chosen since IG won the first World Championship for the LPL and Samsung Galaxy triumphed at the Bird’s Nest in Beijing. Both chromas will be made available starting with Patch 25.20, the official Worlds patch, which will be released on October 8. The goal is to extend the tradition of chromas to previous skin lines (something already applied to the Worlds 2019 skins), with more updates planned for future Worlds events.
“I am truly honored to collaborate with Riot Games on the anthem for this year’s 15th LoL Esports World Championship in China,” shares G.E.M. “Having followed LoL Esports for some time, I’ve been deeply moved by the fighting spirit on stage. The courage to sacrifice for the team and the strength to hold on to one’s beliefs resonate with me not only as an artist but also as someone who has risen against the odds and poured everything into pursuing a dream. I hope to capture that spirit through music and share it with fans all around the world.”
Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports at Riot Games, also commented: “Worlds 2025 in China is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of 15 years of League Esports. What started in small studios with homegrown broadcasts has grown into sold-out arenas and millions watching worldwide. As we mark this milestone, we honor the players, teams, and unforgettable moments that built our sport and shaped the future of competitive gaming.”
