After teasing the inductee earlier this year, Riot Games has finally confirmed the second member into the Hall of Legends: Chinese legend Jian “Uzi” Zihao.
Riot Games made the announcement official on May 20. Known for his incredible mechanics and insane carry potential throughout his career, Uzi became one of the faces in the early era of LoL Esports, especially for the Chinese community, which looked up to him as the one who could rival other Hall of Legends inductee and Greatest of All Time (GOAT) Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.
“Uzi’s legacy goes beyond his titles and achievements; he changed the way we view the bot lane role and left a permanent mark on League of Legends Esports,” said Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports. “His passion and determination have inspired millions, and once we saw the voting breakdown from the global votes, it was clear that Uzi had left his mark on LoL Esports. We are honored to induct him in the Hall of Legends.”
According to a release, the ADC player received an “overwhelming amount of votes from panelists across the globe”, as he continues to be a great inspiration for aspiring pros and fans.

Uzi will have its own official Hall of Legends Induction Ceremony in Shanghai, China, on June 6. While more details will be revealed in the following weeks, Riot Games confirmed that partner Mercedes-Benz will present a custom art piece highlighting his career and achievements, and the Chinese player will receive a personalized Mercedes-Benz G-Class with EQ Technology.
“We want to honour Uzi with something as individual and unique as his career: a MANUFAKTUR customized G-Class with EQ Technology,” said Bettina Fetzer, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Digital & Communication, Mercedes-Benz AG. “This one-of-a-kind vehicle shall be a steady companion, always reminding him of his great achievements.”
The in-game event for the second Hall of Legends member will begin on June 11, with a special event pass and dedicated cosmetics themed after Uzi. Additional details will be revealed on the official Hall of Legends website.
Widely regarded as one of the best ADC players in League of Legends history, Uzi attracted millions of fans with his carry performances and aggressive playmaking. Starting off in the LPL on Royal Club, Uzi made his name with Royal Never Give Up (RNG), helping the organization shape the Chinese professional esports scene.

Despite his incredible skills, Uzi has never won a World title. He came close back in 2013 and 2014, but on both occasions, he and his team were stopped at the last hurdle. Nonetheless, the ADC player counts two LPL titles and a Mid-Season Invitational trophy, all of them won back in 2018 in what was one of the most dominant lineups in LoL history. After facing several physical issues due to competitive play, Uzi retired in 2023 after a short stint on EDward Gaming.
Earlier last month, we made a list of the expected candidates for this year’s Hall of Legends, and we ended up being correct. With Worlds taking place in China this year and his popularity among Chinese fans, it was the best occasion for Uzi to be inducted.
