Former Dignitas starting top laner Jett Michael “Srtty” Joye is set to join LYON in the LTA North, filling the place left open by Frankie “Zamudo” Lin, who is dealing with visa issues.

Update: This article has been updated to reflect LYON’s confirmation of Srtty joining the team.
LYON has chosen Srtty to fill the slot left by Zamudo’s absence
According to a report by Sheep Esports, Srtty will be playing as the starting top laner for the foreseeable future. As a Canadian resident, the latter hasn’t been able to obtain the visa to join the rest of the team.
This pickup comes after LYON tried to use substitute top laner Gerardo “Yayo” Bijani, who, however, did not convince the team in week 1 of the LTA North Split 3. With the necessity of finding strong results after two disappointing splits this season so far, LYON picked up the former Dignitas top laner, who had recently transitioned to a content creator role for the organization after he was replaced by former LEC top laner Kyeong “Photon” Gyu-tae.

Ejemplo de disciplina, trabajo, lucha y determinación. Tiene el récord mundial de mayor Win Rate llegando a Challenger; y una revancha pendiente con la LTA.

Srtty as a player this season
Coming up as one of the most intriguing domestic talents of recent years, Srtty took headlines at the start of the season. That being said, the top laner wasn’t able to have the exploit that some were expecting initially.
In a video explaining the decision to step away from Dignitas’ lineup, he explained how rookies need to maintain their identity: “It’s really important that you stay strong to your convictions and remember what made you good. You need to rely on that because that’s what made you who you are. I tried to learn the game in a new way and fit into a different identity, but at the end of the day, that wasn’t me. And I think I should have trusted myself more than trying to fit into the ideas of other people.”
Based on the information from the Global Contract Database, Yayo might still play for the upcoming week 2 against Team Liquid, as his contract expires on August 4. If that were the case, Srtty would join the team in the following week 3.
