With the second international tournament of the year fast approaching, here are all the MSI 2025 teams that have locked in their spot in the tournament.
2025 marks the first year in which the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is no longer the first international tournament of the season. Earlier in March, the number one seeds from the five regions in the LoL esports ecosystem clashed at First Stand in Seoul, South Korea. That time around, it was LCK team Hanwha Life Esports who came out on top, defeating European representative Karmine Corp in the final.
Since then, nearly three months have gone by, and each of the five major regions is entering the final stages of their respective Spring splits. With two teams from each region, MSI is shaping up to be a clearer indicator of how the competitive regions are positioned relative to one another, setting the tone for the season-end League of Legends World Championship in China later this year.
Here are all of the MSI 2025 teams that are confirmed to take part:
Movistar KOI made their run through the lower bracket to clinch the LEC Spring Split title. They will now head to the bracket stage while G2 will have to fight their way through the play-in phase.

In an unexpected fashion, T1 dominated HLE to take the second seed at MSI, joining Gen.G as the two Korean representatives in Vancouver.

With BLG taking down IG in the lower bracket, the two LPL teams for MSI have been locked in. After beating BLG in the final and winning their first-ever LPL title, AL will be the number one seed for the Chinese league.
FlyQuest defeated Clou9 with a backdoor in an extremely close series to win the LTA Split 2 and lock their spot at MSI.
FURIA dominated PNG in the grand final to snatch the LTA South spot. Unlike LTA North, however, they will have to go through the play-in stage.
After being the first team to lock in qualification at MSI, CFO beat GAM Esports in the Grand Final to win the LCP Mid-Season and head to MSI as the LCP first seed once again. GAM will make their way into the international stage after Worlds 2024.
The revamped format is as follows:
