Ahead of the Worlds 2025 Swiss stage, we stopped by to chat with ADC player MKOI Supa about his experience in Chinese solo queue, why he misses his bocadillos, and which are the top five ADC here at Worlds.
Supa: I think after the LEC finals, I had a lot of time to reflect, to keep thinking the player I want to be, the team that we want to be. I’m not that sad right now but if we keep doing bad things or we don’t improve as players and as a team, I will get really sad at the end of the year.
Davide: I want to ask you about Worlds preparation. I know that you got to China very early and you also got to visit Shanghai.
Supa: Yeah, I mean in Shanghai we couldn’t scrim much Asian teams because we could only scrim FlyQuest, CFO and all these teams, so we couldn’t get the practice from the best teams in the world. It was pretty similar to Europe, to the practice we were doing. But I think the experience with solo queue these days was pretty fun. It was something new.
Davide: How was it?
Supa: They fight a lot and it’s funny compared to Europe, which is the other way. [EU] is just too safe scaling.
Davide: Wait, let’s stop it right there.
Supa: Right now, [it’s] Chinese. It is so much fun, [and] you can improve so much. In Europe, I feel like it’s just boring, you [are] just farming. There are games where you are 0/0/0 at minute 10; here [it’s] impossible.

Davide: We had a two patch break from LEC finals.
Supa: I think playing to the best teams and since people play differently [compared to] Europe, I think there is more aggression in the bot lane. And I think coming to this Worlds, there are teams finding their own picks on the bot lane. Compared to Europe, the difference will be bigger.
Davide: You’re the first ADC I interview at Worlds. I’ve been asking everyone their top five from their role.
Supa: I can’t put myself before starting the tournament because I didn’t prove anything. I come as a loser as well. I will get to the top one, but I need to prove it first.
Outside of that, for me the [number] one [is] Ruler. Top two I will put Viper, then it’s tougher, I’m not really sure how to put them. I think probaby Elk third and Gumayusi fourth, they are different in some details. I will put Elk because he’s the one I played the most. And then Gumayusi and then fifth Hope. I think he’s surprised me.
Davide: The LEC has struggled a little bit internationally. What are like the realistic expectations from yourself? It doesn’t have to be necessarily related to results itself,
Supa: If I need to say an individual goal, I would like to [have] the same feeling I had in LEC, feeling comfortable, understanding what is going on and what I want to be. This is the feeling I want to achieve. I [want to feel] comfortable because when you come to Worlds and you play the best your level of thinking is much faster.
[In] the same way, you need to adapt and everything, I think you need change a bit and evolve when you come here, so that’s my individual goal. Before the tournament starts, I [want to] get this [feeling] and test myself into the best without getting regret or underperforming. That’s my individual goal.
I think as a team it’s similar. I would like [us] to play without fear. [It] doesn’t matter what happens, [as long as] we don’t give up. We saw when we played well in the LEC, we [can] stomp every single team. So I want that this team [that] shows consistently. I think if we do it, we have [a] chance to beat every single team.

Davide: T1 vs IG is taking place today. Drop your prediction and tell me
Supa: I will start with the ADC first because for me it’s funny that GALA me has so similar champion pool. I really like GALA’s champion pool. I’m not sure, I feel like Asian teams in scrims and official [matches] change.
I think I would say it’s like a 60-40 [for T1], but if I need to take a bot lane matchup, I will choose IG because they are more crazy. They will go in. I feel like T1 is more set up, playing good fundamentals. But I think IG will try to boost the [limits] of the 2v2 limits or the ADC. I will expect this more from IG.
Davide: You were in Shanghai at the start of the month. I think this is your first time being China.
Supa: I like going to check shops, check different things [to see] what they have here. I really like it. The country is really beautiful. The food is 50-50, but not because of them, it’s just my taste of food.

I feel like after one week, I’m eating more or less always the same. Some things compared to Europe when you try the same thing here on Europe is way, way different and way better here. So in general, I like the country but [I] still prefer Spanish food.
Davide: What’s your go to Spanish food then?
Supa: I’m a pretty simple guy. I said in an interview in Spain we call bocadillos, I spent my whole life getting bocadillos for dinner. I miss them a lot because we can’t eat gluten during the day by day because it is not the best to perform. So I miss them a lot.
Davide: What do you put in your bocadillo though?
Supa: There are too many things. But if I need to put one, I will say the most obvious: [some] good ham.
Davide: No chorizo?
Supa: I am a fan as well but I will say jamon iberico with cheese and oil.
Supa: I hope you enjoy your matches and you enjoy watching me because I will [play] with no fear and want to prove and show what I’m capable of doing.
Davide: Thank you very much, Supa. I know your birthday (October 23) is coming up so hopefully I’ll get to talk to you again.
Supa: I just hope I get to play a match the time of my birthday, because this will be the best gift.
