Brazilian esports organisation INTZ is set to be acquired by Hivescale Holding and will be undergoing a major restructuring process.
According to a report by Forbes, HiveScale Holding is looking to invest over R$ 100 million ($18.5 million) by 2030 to create a complete ecosystem focused on brands that interact with the Brazilian gaming audience.
The group is known for having over 10 years of market experience with esports organizations such as Stellae Gaming and Black Duck, operating across community, media, and production of competitive events.
The project will be led by executive Lucas Catharino, who has had experience working at Ambev and was a mentor of the Good Game WP (GGWP) circuit. “Esports has everything it needs to become a financially sustainable ecosystem in Brazil,” said Catharino. “A strong brand like INTZ, managed by a company focused on professional management and financial responsibility like Stellae, is the ideal formula for success.”
INTZ Esports used to be one of the most popular brands in Brazil in the past years, having taken part in global events such as the League of Legends 2020 World Championship and won five CBLOL championships. The team stayed in the CBLOL until the end of 2024 before the league was merged with the LCS to form LTA.
Now that two brands have split again, HiveScale Holding is looking to leverage the Brazilian audience, which has been growing consistently over the past few years. Additionally, the company wants to strengthen its presence across the most popular games for the Brazilian market, like Valorant, EAFC, Rainbow Six, and Free Fire.
